Nothing helped Heidi relax after a stressful day of meetings, training countless horses and mucking an equal amount of stalls, like taking a long quiet hike on Harmona through the nearby forest.
A new season of breeding and showing had just started and Heidi felt the huge weight of all that was to come slowly begin to weigh on her shoulders.
She knew that in a few months a new generation of horses would enter Waving Banners. And she knew it would be her job to shape those new horses just like she had shaped Harmona 6 years prior, after gabriel had brought her home from an auction.
The thought made her grin with excitement, but the cold soon made sure she tucked her chin back into the warmth of her jacket.
