Description
i gotta fix the hoodBecause i really like animation and i didn't have time to animate properly when i was supposed to, i decided to do my animation exam in september.
For the exam I'm supposed to make various simple character animations and then ink them. I'm now working on the pencil tests.
the animatons I have to do are:
walk cycle from the front (starting right after posting this)
walk cycle from the side (the one you are looking at right now)
my character punching or a kicking (i made a thing, but i will probably have to start over)
my character lifting and then trowing a visibly heavy object (i have the bone sructure moving, but i still have to add the things that characterise my character visually)
a head turn (i made a thing were the camera goes araund the head of my character, but i have still to make one where my character moves her head)

i was actually not axpecting anyone to leave a comment and to be ignored as usual X/
sorry
also thank yoyu for the complinent

a good thing is to google "walk cyicle reference" and use the that as a guide
that is what i did
then made a bunch of small tests to see if i actually understood and then changed the base enougt so the walk wold look like how my character would walk
animation takes a while and a lot of trile and error, so don't give up if in 2 hours you barely drew only 2 good key frames.
for this thing i used 4 days
and many peaces of paper that i ended up using only to be sure the face was always in the right position and that my character wasn't going to end up out of the paper
also you might want to draw all the key frames first and the inbetween later
it really helps the moral to see a thing you can already see moving till the end, even tho is not Β really fluid yet

Thank you very much for advice! I already found cool tutorial about walk cycle, it also mentions the importance of key frames.

key frames are an important thing in all animations
also moral when drawing is very important.
it is the thing that makes you finish or leave the thing half done.
so remmember to first animate the main movement and then then stuff that follows the movement (ex. hair, clothing, tail...)
also remmember to try and see the shapes
that helps a lot
