Description Reinterpretation of X-Men's Nightcrawler (aka Kurt Wagner), scaling Notre Dame Cathedral. I've given him a youthful appearance and a more substantial tail, complete with vertebrae. Please provide criticism if you are able. I hope to bring this piece to a final rendering for Toronto's upcoming fanexpo. Thank you

Thanks boys! Jason, you were correct in saying that the face of my Nightcrawler resembles the brilliant Alan Cummings (Alex, I was more than tempted to represent Elijah Wood..with Frodo's wild mane ). The intensity of his expressions inspired me to create this version, only with years removed from his visage. Intimated as a young Nightcrawler, he's just beginning to embrace the identity he's assumed by entering into a isolated group of similar mutants. The tail design will be modified gradually. Otherwise this picture will be a night scene with a succession of rain, and the character will be lit from the back.

Pretty badass as usual, Danielle. I didn't know Elijah Wood played Nightcrawler! Ha, just kiddin'.

The tail is very interesting, I like it a lot better than the original design.

The rendering is terrific. The face though seems very similar to the film version, which I take when you say "reinterpretation", is not what you want to do. I really like the idea with the vertebrae showing on the tail, but I think you did it very abruptly. Personally I'd have the vertebrae run further along the tail, or else have it gradually transition from full fleshy tail into the bone. Of course on the tail bit that's just my opinion.
