This fanart is of a childhood favourite of mine, this time of the 1980s series "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends". If I was invited to drive a train on the Island of Sodor, who do you suppose I would choose?It's just got to be James; he was always my favourite! I'm not sure why, but I guess it's partly because he is red but also because like me he has a little bit of an ego
He also appears in some of the more entertaining episodes of the show I think.

Awesome job on this I've always loved James when I was little I had almost everything James. I still have my old James costume to this day and even old my G scale James and some other Thomas stuff too.

Have you heard of the Railway Series? NewController01 on YouTube has audiobooks of almost every single Railway Series book! And James is in the series!

Yes. YES. OH GOD YES. 
I still will always have a special fondness for Thomas in my heart; even I don't follow the series anymore I still look back on my old tapes with fond memories and dig 'em out every now and then. I even have a compilation of all the (original) Railway Series books they were based on, and I've gone so far as to record myself reading them for Youtube!
James is a favorite character of mine, although if I had to pick a favorite I'd probably say Henry. He kind of reminds me of myself in a way (Henry had problems with a smaller firebox that kept him from reaching his full potential; I have physical problems that keep me from doing the same myself). Thomas, Duck, Gordon, Percy, and the Scottish twins Donald and Douglas are favorites too

A part of me still loves Thomas, and James was one of my favorite characters. Others are Edward, Thomas himself, and Harold the Helicopter.

My ideal Sodor engine(s) to operate would have to be Gordon, Henry, Spencer, Hiro, or Connor. I'd mostly operate Connor as he hails from the New York Central. Also, if I could choose anybody else to voice Connor, I'd have to pick Kirby Morrow as he voiced Hot Shot in Transformers Cybertron.
