Description So tonight I finished this painting of Legolas (man, he's cool)!

Unfortunately, something went wrong with his face (even though I can't say exactly what) but altogether I'm happy with the result.

I've used watercolour pencils, soft pastels and normal watercolours.

Hope you like it!

there's nothing really wrong with his face, just some shadows could be more deep, but those are really small details, so don't worry and enjoy compliments - it's beautiful work and especially I admire colours - they are chosen perfectly, such a harmony! and the way you added warm shades in this conceptually gray, pale painting is just awesome)

and I'm happy that you read it, even though the drawing has been posted very long ago I had doubts that you're still here)) I read The Lord of the Rings few years ago in Russian, the first book and a half of the second, but now I bought all trilogy in English and fell in love with this book, reading it again from the beginning)) and Legolas was my favourite character, that's how I saw your work) I'm thinking of making his portrait too, it would be unusual for me as I paint mostly sportsmen)) but I've never painted in pastels, so it would be in pencils, I think. Anyway, you gave me a great inspiration)

I also read the books, in swedish though (my motherlanguage). I thought they were quite slow sometimes because of the old-fashioned language, but still! The details, the characters, the story... So epic Legolas is one of my favourites as well, I think you should really draw him!! I'm so happy to give you inspiration, really! Take care and good luck!
