Description Humm.
Not the perfect outcome.
Basically what I'm trying to symbolise is the negativity of complex things in our world and how when you simplify them the beauty in them reveals itself. It's hard to explain. I've never been good at explaining, specially not about my art.

I love the concept behind this, and if I had spare money around, I'd definitely purchase something like this if it was available for that. ^^

This looks like the sort of design that would go well with a T-shirt or something.

Anyways, lovely piece.

Again, thanks a lot!

I really need to revisit this idea - the image in my head is very far from what appeared on canvas..

You're very welcome.

I can see that actually.
Honestly, you should definitely revisit it, and be sure to link me if you do! ^^

I'm eager to see what you're able to make out of this :3

I hate simplicity... I love complex things. I like your picture!

friedinsanity In reply to PhoenixMCH [2010-10-19 16:16:34 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Complexity and simplicity are both incredible. The point of this picture is really showing complexity as negative, and simplicity as beautiful. However, the idea could be taken vice versa to mean a similar thing 8)

You, my dear, are really impressing me a lot. This is pure genius, and is wonderfully made. (:
About the concept I have to say that, in my opinion, if you simplify urbanism you get sociology (that is just a complex form of instinct, from which you get the child-like nature of the people hanging from the seesaws), and if you simplify sociology you get biology (so, if I could make a 3D version of this pure awesomeness, I'd make some sort of trees generating horizontally from the shades of people)
GOD I LOVE THIS

I throw my thank yous to you for your kindness
Good idea mate. The point I quite clearly forgot to make in the description is that I have symbolised the complexity of the world we live in as the tall skyscrapers. This as a 3D piece of art would be incredible difficult but would look really good in the end.
I think this could be the beginning of a series. Skyscrapers are only one possible form of complexity. Watch this space!

Yeah, that's an amazing concept!
Anyway my proposal was just very theoretical and practically impossible ;D
I meant that for every dimension you add to this piece of art, you can simplify it more O: Like, if you make a version of this painting that breaks the bonds of reality and goes in the fourth dimension you can simplify trees into molecules and so on :/
K I'll stop, I'm raving -.- I'll probably have to study till late tonight and I'm already tired. God bless/curse Redbulls D:
