Description
This is a Type-1 Half Track Ho-Ha carrying a 47mm breach loading Anti-Tank gun and a command radio.
A variant in reality was never made but in the story of ROBOTWARS LTSNo.5 the robots decided to send 10 Ho-Ha's on the island out of which 3 of these where these experimental Anti-Tank variants.
They belong to the 26th Tank Regiment which were transported to Iwo Jima in January 20. Along with 10 half tracks, the 26th also received 5 Type-1 Medium Tank Chi-He and 3 Type-1 Gun Tank Ho-Ro I
in total the 26th Tank Regiment had: 11 Type-97 medium tank Chi-Ha Kai, 12 Type-95 light tank Ha-Go, 5 Type-1 medium tank Chi-He, 3 Type-1 gun tank Ho-Ni I and 10 Type-1 Half Track. A totle of 41 vehicles.
They were hidden in tank caves and tank rodes which they decided to make(convert mostly) which allowed them to move freely around the small island unmolested by American ships and air raids.
The Ho-Ha was mostly used for transporting soldiers and ammunition to the field and the wounded back to the underground hospital.
But aside from anti-tank duties and transport dudes, 3 Ho-Ha's were converted to be able to carry a triple turret Type-4 20cm Rocket Launchers(四式二〇糎噴進砲) By the battles end all Ho-Ha's are lost but each of them played an important roll in boosting moral and swiftly sending soldiers and necessary ammo to the field.
This one at this point in time has konocked out 9 M4 Sherman's and 20 LVT as you can see with the kill count painted on the side.
The letters 〇十五 is just kanji for 015, the fifteen vehicle sent to Iwojima. Also, the two soldiers with the half track is infantry support belonging to the 26th tank regiment, basically they are Japanese tank grenadiers and fun fact the soldier in the far right is holding a Type-4 Garand and the soldier next to him is carrying a Type 100 SMG.
