Description
Sooooo, I recently got back into Harry Potter. And of course I had to become obsessed with a character I cared relatively little about before. Why did it have to be Quirrell, though?

I kind of wonder was Quirrell always bald or did he loose all his hair when Voldemort attached to him?

Amazing look at one of the first enemies of the series! The second from the left, bottom row is truly intimidating. His bald head, pale eyes, and distinctive brows make him look a lot like Lex Luthor from DC comics.

Great facial expression studies! I really love the one of him as a boy with the baby iguana--he seems so delighted with her! I'm assuming that the one in the middle right is when he was a young Muggle Studies professor grading papers (red ink gave that away). I love how you gave him an iguana as a pet!

Haha, thanks, glad you like the iguana! Making her his pet was really the only way to make any sense of that one random scene in the first movie. : P Plus, iguanas are awesome.
And yep, you got that right! Grading papers is what he does.

There is just a special bond between a boy and his pet lizard/ gecko other people can't understand

Beautiful job. I knew SOMEONE other than me had to have an obsession about canon Quirrell (as opposed to AVPM Quirrell--who is wonderful also, but yeah. Canon Quirrell needs more love).
My favorite is him at the desk (second down from the top on the right). It looks like a candid photo--like he looked up half an instant before someone took a picture of him. Something about that one, especially, expresses everything I love about the character. But they're all fantastic. (I like that you did one of him as a student, too!)
You have earned yourself a new Watcher.

Aaaaaah, I'm not alone. :'D
Thank you so much! That one is probably my personal favorite, too. It's just very interesting to think about what Quirrell might have been like before he met Voldemort.
And I'm so very glad to know that a fellow Quirell fan likes my portrayal of him. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I got really, REALLY excited when I read your comment. XD
So, thank you for the watch and your nice comment as well <3
(Oh, and before I had watched AVPM, I was actually very annoyed that it was so hard to find any stuff on canon Quirrell between all the AVPM stuff. Not anymore, though. AVPM-Quirrell is absolutely precious as well. Still, not nearly as interesting as the original.)

Ah, so wonderful to meet someone with the same obscure obsession.
I know! Quirrell's story raises so many questions...I love it, love delving into the backstory of this fascinating man, trying to discover what makes him tick...and what happened to make everything go wrong...
Haha, you should have seen my face when I found your art. I think I died of joy a little bit.
You're an amazing artist, both from the technical sense and the emotive sense. I get all these feelings from your art...that candid-camera one, I swear he's looking right at me. And the pain in his eyes in the top right one... Anyways, I guess what I'm saying is you deserve the Watch and the faves and the comments, and then some.
(Ha, I felt EXACTLY the same way before watching it! And yes, AVPM Quirrell is the most adorkable human being in history. But I do prefer canon.)

Oh, it sure is.
I couldn't have said it better myself! It sure has been an... interesting journey, ever since I started to care about this character. Sooo many hidden depths...
Haha, I... I don't even know what to say. Just... thank you. X3 There are more sketches to come, too. Quirrell has taken over my life. x_x

I am so happy to hear it! Yes, he is difficult to ignore once you really see him, isn't he? I will happily follow you down the rabbit hole.

Well, I already know why... But great work on the sketches, love! I think the paper grading one is my favorite of the bunch. Of course, you just couldn't resist including his iguana, could you? XD
