Random shot i took of a quail the other day that seems to like hanging out in my yard lately.I just love its little feather thing on its head.

All I can think of is Quail Man from Doug. 
I've never seen a quail in my life. I don't think they're around where I live at all, though

And actually this ones the first quail i've seen in real life before. I've always heard people talk about quails but never saw one till the day i saw this little guy (or at least i think its a guy since it has pretty coloring) they sort of act like chickens and perfur to walk rather then fly.

That's pretty much exactly what it looked like.
I remember seeing a small group of quails close to that place many years ago. It actually makes sense to see one in that area when I think about it.

The one I saw recently was alone at first as well. But then it flew from one place to another and I think I saw one more in that spot.
But that's curious... I wonder where it's family is?

well i was just considering other birds like song birds, and chickens. And i assume they would have a similar lifestyle to theirs.

I just looked up King quails and they look quite cute too. ^^ I think this one is called the California quail. And yes i agree quails do rock!

They are the size og chicken chicks. I build myself a aviary for my birds this year and I thought about having king quails again. I also made myself a 3d model for the aviary you can also see the landscape for the quails on the floor. In the top there will live my zebra finches. ----> [link]

Lol I love these guys! We get them on our porch all the time. And on the 2nd floor! I didn't know they could fly that high until they started showing up. O__O Their crowing makes me lawl. =w=

Hehe yep in my yard. ^^ Though it probably likes visiting because like the rest of the birds out there its attracted to the bird feeder.

Hehe yeah they are adorable. But this is the first time i've ever seen one stick around near my yard. And theres no sign of other quails yet so i don't know if it has a family or anything yet.
