Oh yeah... I forgot to mention, you might want to familiarize yourself with the G1 episode "War Dawn" for this story.
I'm trying to come up with ways to get the pages done faster. I would absolutely love it if I could do one page a week. So far, it's taking around 2 plus. This was done a different way than the first page. If anything suffered, it would be the line quality, but it looks about the same to me so far. I'll keep playing around.

Interesting...you're actually the second person I have come across who uses the idea of Thundercracker being Dion. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to read the rest of your comic!

Okay, so while I honestly like this story, think the art is amazing, Dion = Thundercracker an interesting twist, I can't help but be thrown out whenever I see those panels on Orion and Dion.
Dion feels decidedly OOC. "Always so serious"? The first line when he appeared in canon got him a "Very funny" from Orion and overall his behaviour seemed to be implying an easy-going nature (moreso than the other two at least). Not to mention that within canon, this conversation cannot have happened (like this, partly due to the personality issue).
Now, I really like this comic, but it seems to me your forcing Dion's personality (and Orion's too, for that matter) into being something he is not, which throws me out.

Actually, Dion IS the straight man between himself and Orion. Orion's "Very funny" was in response to Dion's accusing him of tricking others into doing his work for him again. Orion was also the one who thought it would be cool to meet the Decepticons. Dion was the voice of reason.
And this conversation very much could have happened before the incident at the energy warehouse.
I think both of them are quite in character and this story is extremely probable within the cannon.

No, sorry, but Dion appeared at least equally impressed by the Decepticons as Orion. Sentences like "And we're actually seeing them. It's really them!", "Oh wow, it's one of those flying robots." and "Go get your circuits checked, chum. Those guys are the greatest!" are not to be ignored. Note also that he said that last (impolite) sentence to someone he doesn't know, implying a not very thoughtful nature. What makes you think he was a voice of reason? Only Ariel seemed not impressed as much about the flying robots.
Otherwise, I can buy it easily he would be a voice of reason in regards to the war. We never saw his opinion on war, just that he didn't believe the stories were true (whereas Orion made the look-at-me-being-a-jerk remark that they shouldn't care about a war because they would be safe anyway). However, note the part that he didn't believe in a war brewing. When would this conversation have had to take place? It can't have happened after they met the Aerialbots, and earlier doesn't make much sense with how they responded in canon on Ariel's remark "I heard - outer cities".
In canon, I can tell Dion's and Thundercracker's personalities apart. In your story, I can't. Given how different Orion and Optimus are, I don't think you have to bother about making their personalities compatible for now, because even if they are each other, they are also characters worlds apart. I think the panels on Orion and Dion would've already been easy to believe if Orion would've started with something like "No, seriously. What if what Ariel etc." and Dion in his last panel wouldn't have looked so Thundercracker-ish, which doesn't feel like him at all. Personally, I think a 'smile and a raised eyebrow'-expression would've better suited the character.

Just like everyone else said, that is such an interesting twist. Thundercracker is one of my favorite characters (it's completely 's fault for all her stories where he's just so interesting!) so I'm loving this and I can't wait to see where this goes.

I love this page. Very intense. I like how you launched yourself right into the story instead of doing a monotonous prologue.

It wouldn't surprise me that there would be some decepticons who were rebuilt from autobots. Blitzwing and Octane are others who very well could be, with their apparent lack of actual Hatred towards autobot-kind.
on the flipside, whos to say those shuttles the autobots rebuilt into the 'limb' aerialbots weren't decepticon shuttles? Could explain their...apparent disdain for humans.

Ok, you just totally blew my mind in so many ways with this. One reason would have to be the art work. Love the wing you have in the last panel right there. Than there is the whole story line right now, which I believe is totally an original idea. Adding the fact you have TC actually a reformatted Dion. Way to come up with a theory no one has thought up before...I think....
Now, I really have to add this to my watch list ^_^. My brain is oozing out at the sight here.

Great twist! It goes a long way towards explaining why Thundercracker is conflicted about his stand in the war. Remnants of his time as Dion, perhaps? That would explain a whole lot of things.

I love this idea; everybody always tries to go the easy route when explaining little questions like that ("He's dead," "He's Ultra Magnus" (wtf?)) yet it is so much more interesting when someone takes an unexplored path. X3

Hmm...I've seen folks thinking Ironhide or Magnus (and hell, even Huffer!) was Dion, but this the first take I've seen on on having him wind up on the other side. A very interesting twist...hoping to see more.

I wish the Seekers had been addressed in War Dawn, especially given Skywarp's mention of the guardians giving him the creeps.
I can't wait to see where this story goes. It looks like it'll be a great fan interpretation of the G1 backstory to TC questioning the cause.

War Dawn is one of my favorite episodes. Despite the really bad art, it's got a lot of things in it that make you think.

My favorite bad art from that episode was the impossible way Skywarp's legs were twisted at the hips seated under him while Starscream was fixing his wing. That was amateur at best.
I did like how it set Soundwave and Shockwave as some of the first non-drone Decepticons as well.

The "repaints" have always intrigued me. I needed a reason for them to all look alike when most of the Autobots are so different.
