Nice.
I used to be extremely scared of that bridge when I was a kid.

I remember it being rather scary when we would drive over it because it was so narrow and there was a sharp turn with a dirty brick wall as soon as you got over the canal.

It used to be the bridge that took 135th St over the I&M Canal from Romeoville, IL to Lemont, IL. It was one lane and could swing sideways to let barges through. They closed it and moved it about 200 yards to a forest preserve where it's now at the head of a bike trail. It took FOREVER to get it moved and build a new bridge because there was an endangered species of dragonfly living under the bridge. The lives of few dragonflys were obviously more important than the effect the lack of a bridge for 10 years would have on the local economies. This has been your small midwestern town history lesson for the day.
(way more info than you care about haha)

No, that's really neat. I always like to learn new things about my state. Or the cities/towns of my state. Whatever.
It's a very cool bridge. I wish I lived closer to Lemont and Romeoville so I could pay it a visit. An hour is a bit too far to drive just to visit a bridge...
