Description
masks...in the dance hall of life...
we use them to hide who we really are
hiding the fears we don't want others to see
striving to show others that we are the person they think we are
never letting them see how scared of life we really are
fearful of the pain and agony that life can inflict upon us
scared of the loss of those few cherished possessions that our lives center upon
masks...
showing those colors that are good for the eyes
we use them to hide the darkness inside
painted in the make up of the lies we wrap ourselves in
never allowing others, even those we love, to see the person within
hiding in fear of what they may say or what they may do
hiding the person inside, we push away those who would help us
not allowing others to force us to face our fears
masks...
shaping them into fanciful expressions of joy and laughter
we play the games others play, dance those dances others dance
playing and dancing with practiced steps and with a false grace
we keep a weary eye on our surroundings in hopes that others do not see our mistakes
those mistakes that will do the one thing that we fear the most
the one thing that can destroy everything and prove what they truly are
that those masks are like our lives
that those masks and our lives are made entirely of lies

but some of us can't overcome the lies....
they are the lies that we can't overcome cause of our fears

ohhh
those...
i ended up taking all those down cause i kept putting them up in hopes that others would give advice for improvement or suggestions but almost nobody did...
i got some cool compliments, but i almost never got any thing else..
i was thinking about making a poll asking that if i start doing that, would people actually look at them and give any suggestions.
depending on the response i get will basically tell me whether or not i start doing it again

ok, sounds like a plan. I'd say, for general improvement, try to diversify. A lot of your works end up looking the same. So try new things, new methods, experiment, etc. That's my general advice for now.

i'm trying different things but the rendering makes things look like they do.
one of these days i'm gonna try to see if i can figure out 3ds max so i can import shapes into bryce

and sometimes i make the surrounding shape a mirror material with a couple of my custom light materials on a flat 2d square that i have at different angles going through parts of it

usually i put everything in a sphere that i used one of my custom materials on,
but this time i used a torus

Wow, you remind me of HybridHarpers work: [link]
The graidents you have warping gradient effects you have captured is incredable, and how neat it all looks! You're amazing graphics artist! But in the center, I think it needs a tad blur in the middle part where it looks very sharpened and as if it has anti-alising off... But it looks fantastic, favourite for me!

i disagree... i think *frostfire101 s work is at a .... higher level shall we say? hybridharper's is very good.. but there isnt the same level of detail

this was rendered at the highest quality that bryce has, not a whole lot i coulda done on that since there is no antialiasing done at that setting...
i don't know how to use photoshop yet so...
one of these days i'll learn it tho!!
and thanks for the fav and comment!!!
