Oh God. I don't have much to say to this. The colouring's given it so much solemn weight. Heavy in your arms indeed. Giving me a queasy stomach, in all honesty. Oh these two... I've never felt for Brogan as much as I do at this moment in time, and while I never might again, there was always this moment.

It is very heavy - she's def. the one of my OC's who have changed the most, considering how she started out,personality-wise.

Reconciliation: They need it. But it has to be a mutual choice. Maybe if Brogan understood that love is a decision you make every day and not some fickle emotion, she'd be able to take those steps to healing she so desperately needs.
I feel I'm preaching to the choir here...
This really is a beautiful and powerful image. She's still a little girl, desperate for her daddy's love and approval; torn between that and remaining true to what she believes to be her inborn nature and image. And I love how you've used her hair to help frame the image.

Well, actually it's more a question of her going against her own nature - which she cannot do no matter how much she tried to.
At the end of the day, for Brogan, it boils down to choosing between what/who she is and what she 'should' be... In this case the concept of 'love', which she doesn't understand and doesn't really posses, plays a very VERY small role.

So beautiful. The shading is just perfect. I'm not sure why this is such a strong image (I kid you not, when I first saw it I actually teared up a little) but I think it's that look on Brogan's face. It's like she almost, almost feels something...

I'm trying to make Brogan very VERY aware of her actions and her surroundings. So even if she doesn't feel all that much (if anything) she is still aware of the damages she can cause/is causing; which is why she during her late teens spends so much time away from Hooter until she is more stabilized. She doesn't want to make him suffer, which I believe has more to do with personal pride; he helped her, she'll try to not let him know about her true nature; but she isn't apologising for anything, and she isn't changing for anyone; not even Hooter - but she would like to have this whol 'incident' avoided (her getting caught and discovered, not her killing urges)

I know what you mean - I have an ever-growing pile of things in my "in-progress" folder on my computer and lately since I have no attention span my method of making sure I work on all of them has been to just open them and work for 10-30 minutes ago (until I get bored), in alphabetical order.
