For some reason, I was suddenly like "Sesshoumaru would fit in well with snooow."... I'm sure it would have been a more intelligent impulse if it hadn't occurred at like two in the morning. *laughs*
Sooo I went with his manga coloring, since it matched the whole blue snowy thing better than red and yellow. And I'm really happy with how it turned out. I sorta tried on the background for once, and it pretty much worked the way I wanted, too, which is really rare. How exciting!

Pfft, I still don't think it's sad. It's taken me, what, over two years of messing with programs, and then two different art programs, to be as fast as I am now. And I don't post a lot of the things I do because they end up HIDEOUS! *laughs* But seriously... there are ones I'm still working on, and it's been months.

hm, atleast you have a computer program.
What i do is i start a drawing, but i almost never end up finishing them. I'll draw somthing, i wont finish it, move on to something ells, i wont finish it and so on...
do you do that?

The computer program is helpful, yes. Sometimes you can find pretty cheap ones... I only ended up with photoshop when it came with the tablet I bought. Before I had a program that only cost 12$.
Hahahaaaa oh yes yes yes, I have tons of pictures that I've drawn but don't finish or post. Pages and pages.

The program was Jasc Paint Shop Pro... I just looked up a number of programs and then searched ebay for a really cheap one.
Ugh, I know... all I have is photoshop elements, so it's not as awesome as the full photoshop. Still, it works pretty well, and that's what counts!

I should make one of Inuyasha. He's incredibly under-represented in my deviations for being the main character and everything. I did make one a while back, but I was so incredibly lazy with the background that I didn't want to post it.

Inuyasha's character has always been more amusing to me than anything, although lately he's really been maturing.

Jet was an interesting character... although I really only feel like that happened in the last mmm... two episodes he was in? *laughs* Anyway, that's when it seemed like he started to become a more rounded character -- before that, while he was unique, he was a bit flat. Too bad he got that development right before dying...

*stares* This is incredible. Just...it's...oh my gosh. It's INCREDIBLE. Ugh, why can't I be more eloquent when I am this overwhelmed?? *sigh* You'll just have to excuse the following:
First of all, oh MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS, he looks PERFECT!!!!! Perfect, as in, NOTHING could have possibly been done differently to make it more ohmygoshAMAZING. His FACE is so beautiful; the stripes look just right, and the ear, and the turn of his mouth, and the crescent moon looks awesome, and his eyebrows are so great, and HOLY CRAP his EYES!!! Ugh, the combination of the set of his mouth and his eyebrows and his eyes just makes his whole facial expression so flawlessly gorgeous. And his HAIR. Oh my gosh, SARA. His hair. OH MY GOSH. Especially his bangs (because holy crap his bangs are like 30% of his beauty), but the rest is so perfect as well, the way it's slightly blowing in the wind... Wow... Oh, and clothes, and his armor (I like the texture; it looks like it's had a lot of use, which definitely makes sense), and Tenseiga, wow, those are amazing too. The background is SO great; I'm really glad you decided to work on it more, because as wonderful (Holy understatement, Batman!) as the true subject of the drawing is, the nice background really helped with the whole scene SO MUCH. You did a fantastic job with the snow as well; it's so realistic to me, because the flakes are all appropriately different sizes from the various distances (I don't remember the Psychology term for that), and they're blurry and out of focus, just as they should be (obviously perception in reality would keep it that way, because it's Sesshoumaru we are looking at, and holy crap, why am I analyzing your snow???). But anyway, I know I've gone on long enough already, but I really can't stop without commenting on the coloring, because it's really a HUGE part of why I love this picture. First, it was definitely a good call to choose the manga coloring, because you're definitely right that the usual wouldn't go as well with the snow. More importantly, though, I LOVE how, the way you colored the picture, it genuinely looks like it is snowing, which means that the sky is doing that whole blank, white, overcast thing that makes everything a different, darker color (or at least makes us perceive it as a different color; you know what I mean). So anyway, what I'm trying to say (and not very well; it is 5:14am after all) is that the colors in this picture are so, SO perfect. Aaand, since I guess I'm out of elements of the drawing to describe, I'll stop here, and just end with this: This picture is seriously one of the best things you've ever done. In fact, it's good enough that, without giving it thorough contemplation, I could easily say that it is the BEST drawing I've seen from you. I'm only not saying that because you have so many others I love that I'd have to really think before actually choosing, and that would take a while. *grin* What I CAN say with complete confidence, though, is that this is the greatest Sesshoumaru you've ever drawn (one of the best I've seen, too), and you should be firmly, exceedingly proud of it.
Also: *snort* You want to know how else you can tell you did a fantastic job drawing him? I'm pretty sure that when I clicked on the link to look at the picture, my very first thought (after "SNOOOOWW!!!!") was, "Oh my gosh, he's beautiful. And HOT." *laughs* Mission accomplished?

I think that, first off, it's fair to say a huge 'thank you'.
I'm so happy that you think everything turned out so well! I did dink around with my method a bit from the usual way I draw/color him, and I wasn't entirely sure how those things would ultimately turn out. It's always sooo nice to get assurance that going out of my 'comfort zone' was worth it.
And yey for the background! I was really nervous about how to fill up that space, because I didn't want it to really stand out and be distracting, but I couldn't just pull a "but it's snoow... so leaving tons of white space is okay... <_<" thing. I wasn't sure if the trees were too much of a contrast or not, and had to dink around with them much longer than I would have liked. But if it worked, it was definitely okay!

YES. Definitely one of, if not the, biggest pains in the world. I hate the stupid voice in the back of my head that pokes me for being lazy when I don't want to do backgrounds... *grumble*
