Haha...well you shoulda seen my pics when I first started trying to draw sailor moon (back when I was in 5th grade or something)...she had an Einstein head!!! Seriously!! You know how the cartoons do Einstein? With the giant, heart-shaped head? Yeah...that's what she looked like...and to get proportions, it helps to draw out a line skeleton...

I actually do have long arms...XD I mean, freakishly long...my fingers are about 2 inches above my knees when I put my arms at my sides...and the arms actually cross over the chest, tho it's hard to tell...I think I made it a little too big for my sketchbook... ^_^;;

I just noticed that the upper part of both arms point straight down, which would make them go very far down below the drawing before connecting to the lower part of the arm and hands.. you kinda have to imagine they're there.

I get what you mean...but the part that goes straight down is actually the shirt...with the way that shirt works, it kinda drapes off the shoulders, then hooks around the arm at about the elbow, and then it hangs again...it's interesting...kinda renaissance-y...I love that shirt...and I didn't feel like drawing the arms well cuz they didn't turn out right, so I just put a shirt over them to make it easier. When I finally color it, it'll be easy to see.

No. I actually love drawing hands. When I get bored, I doodle hands on my school papers and little scraps of paper sitting at the computer...or in my sketchbook, if I have it with me at the time. I find hands very fun and interesting to draw...

hands are the single hardest part of human anatomy to draw well, closely followed by feet

I can't draw toes on feet...I totally suck at them. They never turn out right, and the only way they look remotely good is if there's no detail and they're not realistic. If I try to draw them realistic...oh god...and I don't find hands hard to draw, except certain positions, just cuz I don't know how the position looks in real life...
