I got one of those on almost every interior door in my house...
Only mine go straight through the door (you can see through it).

Sweeeeet...we don't have any see thru locks. All of the ones in my apartment are the little ones where you push the button in and you can pick the lock with a wire hanger...and, of course, basic locks like on the apartment door...and the building door...heck, the most see-thru lock we have in this house is the one that originally came on one of my diaries...

Another reason it's not so sweet: The lock pieces don't have holes drilled, and even if it did, anyone (with a skeleton key) could open it. I'd prefer brand new 6-panel doors with conventional locks that require a conventional key (or an experienced lock-picker) to unlock it.

Well I wasn't trying to be mean...I was being dead serious. If you want something to look at, put something there to look at. And the locks on the doors in my house are still easily picked...except the apartment door and the building door, of course...but throughout the apartment, they're just cheap that anyone who has a hanger or other straight, small metal object could use to break into a random room.
