This was harder than I thought it'd be. It has such weird proportions, it was difficult to get that much oddness hahait has definitely grown on me. Still not a HUGE fan of it, but it's decent.

I feel that this one was the biggest missed opportunity when it came to Alolan forms. I thought that regular Persian was fine, but it looked kind of plain to me and didn't seem worth getting. Then I saw that sassy Alolan Meowth and got really excited to see what Alolan Persian would look like. I was imagining something a bit more fluffy and regal, maybe like it was wearing a fur coat. This one just looks like it got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. This one is just kind of dumb. A lot of the Alolan forms were just kind of jokes, but I think half of those were still pretty solid. Sometimes I like this one more than other times. Maybe it's just one of Pokemon that I think looks better as a drawing than a 3d model. I don't know. This one was the most disappointing to me, since I expected so much more out of it.

Yeah, they had such a perfect opportunity to go down a black panther route, and instead we got ANOTHER domestic cat (to add to the list of glameow, delcatty, espurr, etc etc). - I assume A-Persian is a spoilt british shorthair or somesuch. I love the original Persian: I see it as a domestic but also as a mountain lion or cougar, so to not capitalise on that powerful big cat aesthetic and make it so goofy was THE biggest let down for me regarding the regional variants.

Alolan Persian is in every definition of the word, a joke. On the pokemon Sun and Moon site it talks about how beautiful this pokemon is, a true staple of the alola region. It was even breed by royalty for it's looks. But, that was the opposite reaction from the fans.Β

I think if you saw it in real life its head isn't so much that shape, more it's just got very dense fluffy fur, like a British shorthair. So in real life I imagine it'd be very handsome, but in Pokemon form it's such a dork

Yeah it'd be great.! You'd wonder though about some of them... like, would Poliwag have a skeleton? Or is it just cartilage that would decompose? Do Sunfloras and other grass types have skeletons or are they made up of plant structures?

Omg when I stop and think about it, many of the Alolan forms were a complete disappointment.
I love the concept of regional variants, and I can't stress that enough, but this one (as well as Diglet's line and Golem's) are just so bad! I get what many people say, that if it didn't have this hideous head it would just be a recolor. But this was just so unnecessary, it doesn't add anything special to Persian in my opinion, and it just makes it so ugly
