Had a narrow strip of space at the top of a page, figured I could squeeze a mothim in there hahahe's a decent design, forgettable in my opinion, but still cool. Especially when given the female route, uh yes, give me my wormadam please. Still a good design though.

I know he's forgettable but I honestly love him. Also, the shiny is great.

Among my favorite Bug de signs ever and even the shiny is really nice. Yeah, forgettable since bug PokΓ©mon have not so good stats and even Wormadam has the same problem (plus too many weaknesses)...but yeah theyβre an extremely well done line. Hope to see more moths in the future

Yeah I enjoy bugs a lot, but they aren't the most memorable or strong, they upped the bug game with golisopod (even though I don't like it), he's a beast! Hopefully they continue with that theme for Galar, we've yet to see any bugs!

I think people would be less likely to forget Mothim if they realized that he was based on Death's-Head Hawkmoths (less commonly known as bee-robbers), given their popularity. It's kind of a shame that they didn't play more with the skull/death theme. (I could sort of see his head being a black skull with fiery eyes, which combined with being exclusively male makes me wonder if he might also draw inspiration from the Mothman, but I don't know if that was intentional.) I enjoy Mothim nonetheless though, especially his Shiny!

Very true, if they had played more with the concept I think it'd be a smash! But this is just too plain in my opinion. Unfortunately most lepidoptera pokemon are. I want like a GOOD butterfly/moth, like a legit, strong, amazing concept, high level one, not an early stage blah "here's a bug with wings" one.
I ALMOST made it shiny for you. I was so torn, but I wanted my first Mothim to be the original coloring. Someday I'll make your shiny team, some day. I think about it all the time actually. You're so iconically known for your shiny team, I want to draw it.

I still think a hummingbird hawk moth would be perfect for Sword & Shield. I've been told that hummingbirds don't occur in the UK, making locals look twice when they spot a hummingbird hawk moth. (Still hoping for that rosy maple moth, though!)
I'd love that! I've actually been thinking about making a Tag Team card featuring my Shiny Team, but I haven't been up to drawing much since messing up my neck. (Not that I'm any good at drawing groups anyway...)

I was also considering making it with just the first half of my team (Dunsparce, Wartortle, and Mothim) and possibly making a second one with the other three (Porygon2, Flareon, and A-Sandslash) if I couldn't fit all six.
I think I hurt it while Shiny-hunting, actually! I used to be really bad to lay on my stomach while gaming/reading/drawing and I think one of my more extensive hunts (coincidentally, Mothim) took a toll on my neck. The X-ray showed that the curve in my neck had become more V-shaped than C-shaped, resulting in a pinching pain that left me with a headache nearly every day until I started chiropractic treatment. It's still not perfect, but I don't constantly have a headache anymoreβit's mostly just tight and annoying. I've got to go in for another X-ray on Tuesday so we can see where we're at and hopefully figure out what it'll take to get things back to normal.

Oh that's interesting, my neck, rather than the C-shape, is more like a l-shape, it isn't curved anymore, more straight open (obviously not fully flat open, but more than the typical curve). I see a chiropractor twice a month, they hook me up to this machine that electrically shocks the muscles around the neck and it is supposed to relax them. It's freaky, feels like another brain is controlling the muscles haha
Anyway, hopefully it improves!
