these pokemon live in small lakes in the deep squishy mud. they are believed to have healing powers and rejuvenate trainers and pokemon. they eat a lot of weight in food.
they are ground type
the first evolves into the second when traded while holding a shell bell

the reason is that the little head thing gets rearranged into arms the first ones head thing is its "arm"
