ok so i decided to try out making a spriting tutorial.

so first thing's first i am so not a teacher so this might be complete crap XD

i wrote the basics on the actual image above but if you have any questions feel free to ask me anything and i will try to answer them as best as i can

also if you don't speak english and need this translated or you can't read the image it says:

-ok so first i draw a rough sketch of the fakemon. my "canvas" is 96X96 (mine are a bit large for sprite though)

-next i clean up the sprite a bit. here is an example. also kind off fix it up as well. i changed the pose a bit too but you can see i fixed things

-next add flat colors. i make my colors a bit more muted/grey then my drawings.

-shading is my worst quality so i might not be the best for this, but i look where the sun is and shade it. make it a lot of shading too, like more then you would think is normal, a bit on the extreme side.

-the next step is highlights. i actually don't like highlighting so i don't usually unless it looks really shiny like this one or a quagsire, something like that.

-the final step is to color the lines on the lighter colored parts lighter then black.

the fix up anything that you notice is messed up. and there you go!!!
