Description
NEW ONEΒ frozenfeather.deviantart.com/aβ¦these are my vampire bat fakemon. i chose to make them ice ghost because vampires are dead (ghost) and they are usually pale and icy cold (ice)
the berry is based off a heart, dripping blood, and a pomegranate
these pokemon live in pitch black ice caves. they sleep all day and only come out of their homes at night due to their sensitive skin they get overheated quickly. they love to eat bloode berries and often have the juice stained on their mouths leading to the legends of them drinking human's blood, which is false.
the Bloode berry (pronounced bl-ooo-d) are extremely bitter and contain hundreds of tiny seeds covered in a juicy flesh. they are the main staple of my vampire bats.
they are ice/ghost type
the first evolves into the second by level up while holding a bloode berry

That reminds me, I've always wondered what the significance of the apple on the cover of Twilight is. What is it? Why is that apple so important in the first book?

That's hilarious, I totally forgot about the apple on the cover, it's a total coincidence I based the bloode berry off the apple, I assume my subconscious did it, because I didn't do it on purpose. That's so weird.
Anyways it's the symbolism of the apple used as symbolism in the book. An apple has come to mean "forbidden fruit" it's often depicted in the biblical story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden as the fruit they partook of after being told not to. So it depicts forbidden fruit as well as showing how when Adam and Eve ate the fruit they were thrown out of Eden and just like in Twilight when Bella accepts here love of Edward the "forbidden fruit" she descends into hell/heaven (it's dangerous but she loves it and it turns out to be the right thing for her). I believe that's what Stephanie Meyer was going for with the apple on the cover.

I ******* knew it. I was hoping it wouldn't be that crappy cliche'd symbolism. Damn it. One more cliche to add to the list of reasons never to read that series EVER.
I was really hoping that at least the cover art of the books actually had anything to do with the physical story. Anything would have been better, the apple could have been a magical object in the story that is extremely important.
But NOOOO, it's a ******* cliche about "forbidden love" which doesn't even make sense because Adam and Eve didn't have forbidden love. The main characters in Twilight literally have nothing in common with Adam and Eve.
The forbidden fruit doesn't even have ANYTHING to do with love at all.

lol
No it's just the forbidden-ness (lol I wish that was a word) of the apple and then the forbidden-ness of the love. They are much more relatable to Romeo and Juliette.
When you're very invested in the series the cover art for the books actually makes quite a bit of sense.

No problem If I may ask, what pencils do you use for your fakemon? Because the shading effect on the cherry is amazing.
