“Of course, I have,” Victoria agrees, and plucks the thick paper from her coach’s tense fingers. “But the brain is empty, and the mare is jumpy.” Her eyebrows slowly furrow as she reads through the guide a few times. “Huh. So it was medium trot from E, and then turn to…” she trails off as she recites to herself.
Triss chuckles, frustration disappearing from his face. Then he promptly grimaces, his mouth twitching into a frown.
“Just don’t jump out of the arena and you’ll be fine.”
