I’d like to get meta-physical for a moment to explain what’s going on in this picture since it might be hard to properly grasp at first glance. First of all, this pic doesn’t really star any of the elastic girls in question, it stars me, Kidd-P, FTO-sete, Animewave, and Kecomaster, (for those of you not paying attention that’s all the authors in the elastic girl community upon whose pages my stories appear at the moment) while using our respective elastic girls as our stand ins since obviously this particular set up/joke only works with women.

Now plenty of people might have noticed a sharp upturn in the number of pregnancy related pics FTO has started doing ever since he started owing me commissions, and since I know that this isn’t his usual area of interest I decided the only appropriate way I could ask for another one would be to do so in a manner that actually mocks, or at least touches on my interest in the subject of fertility.

You see just like big breasts (sorry Animewave they’re an easy target) can be taken a symbol of a just how much milk a woman will be able to produce for her children, and hence how healthy and strong they’ll be, sometimes a pregnant belly is more than a pregnant belly.

In this case its a symbol of the process through which I’ve worked with the four other author’s present, they’ve shot a few simple ideas my way (FTO said he’d be interested in seeing something that involves Elastica being melted, less than 3 hours later I was laying out a plot synopsis for The Trial by Fire of Elastica) and I allow those ideas to come together, coalesce, and emerge in a form where they can stand on their own.

Then of course as the last panel shows off the fact that eventually when they do pics for me the reverse is true, as I’ll tell one of them some ideas about what I want drawn, and after a bit of waiting they eventually come back with this fully developed piece of artwork, well actually I tend to be a nervous nelly and insist on seeing sketches/sonagram of my little bundles of joy as they develop.

The reason why the second punchline of the last panel works is because it makes sense for the other authors to be shown off as more creative and thus more fecund than I am, because in truth they are. I am really bad at coming up with ideas of my own, I’m just really good at lamprey like latching onto someone else’s and then sucking for all I’m worth.

So why is Susan always pregnant? Because I’m always writing. You see its not just a fetish, it’s a metaphore, and a fetish....
