Ya get it? Because, you see Cinnabar is a Pokemon town name... but it's also traditional red sumi-e ink... which is what it's painted in. Or at least cinnabar red stick ink, because they're cheap and maybe not actually cinnabar.

On that last drawing I only needed enough red for his lil clown nose. But one does not simply grind a little ink. You get a bunch or you get nothing. So I just scribbled a cubone for the first time since I was like a little kid. It was fun! I have a lot of found memories of Pokemon and am pretty sad it's in the hands of such a megacorp that treats it as a piggy bank.
