Description
This is probably the biggest drawing I've done in a long while. Usually it's mostly a tone of white space but it was nice to really fill in the page. I got to try out using a synthetic fude brush for the first time too.

In most cases, fude brushes are very not sustainable. They require the pointed hairs of an animal that's never been trimmed. AKA, the animal is raised and killed specifically to be brush. Pretty harsh... I have plenty of real hair brushes and they're great, but I do want to get used to something less harsh.

On the other hand, I've had this coyote tail stuck to my wall like, forever. It was naturally harvested from road kill and it of course has natural untrimmed fur! So that's a thought for sustainability. An animal that was killed so unfairly as this can be given a new life as one of the "four treasures of the scholar". I will have to try making brushes soon!
