Description
Regrets are an heavy burden. Burden that we often put on yourself. For actions we did or for action we didn't do. What ever the case, it's heavy. Blinding. Destructive.
A regret could be something as a last goodbye you didn't make. Last moments you didn't take with people you loved. Moments you didn't take to stand up. Times you didn't show you true colors. Times that you felt weak and let it have the best of you and do nothing. All those absence of actions. It's painful.
What if you acted? Would you feel better? Would you have made the world better? Would you feel stronger than before? Would you regret it even more? Would you not regret it? Would you have made things worst?
You will never know. You never acted. Then it consumes you. You feel bad. You know you could have done better. Said the last goodbye that should have been said. A mere ''love you''.
A regret can also be an action you did. Words you spoke that shouldn't have been said. Places you were that you weren't invited. Decisions you made, thinking it was for the best, but were for the worst. Situations you have worsen by your actions. Times you should have listen, but you didn't and acted otherwise. When you moved when you should have stand still.
It's painful.
What if you did nothing? Would you feel better? Would it have made a world better? Would you regret it even more? Would you not regret it? Would it have made things worst?
You will never know. You acted on your own. Then it consumes you. You feel bad. You know you could have done better. Don't act and be a spectator to the actions around you.
Whatever the regrets, we have them. We learn through them. It's hard to understand. It's hard to conceive. But we have to live with those regrets and grow stronger with them. It's painful, and sometimes, you will drag the burden of it with you. Those regrets will build you, but you can chose how they will build you...
... or destroy you.
But you don't want the latter. It ruins your sleep. Ruins your mood. Ruins your confidence. You have to know that you are not alone with regrets. That it is normal to have regrets so you won't do the same mistake again. You must not always focus on those regrets.
Know that you are not alone. You are never alone. Despite how it looks.
You are stronger than you regrets.
