My first official ''Do This Again'' meme! Woh!

First thing I want to say:
GOSH I WAS SUCH A CRINGY GIRL BACK THEN! AND WHAT THE HECK WAS I CREATING BACK THEN!? WHO DO RED EYELASHES ON A TURQUOISE HAIRED CHARACTER!?

DIDI I REALLY DRAW THE WHITE OF THE EYES BLUE!? GOD I AM GLAD IN IMPROVED SINCE THEN!

So, surprise, I was a Sonic fan back then and I was drawing a looot of Sonic stuff, even experimenting with styles I would find on the Internet. This drawing was made in my experimenting time. I can also tell you I colored this drawing with Steadtler markers when they first came out in my little corner of the world. Yes, I remember this... This also explain the very bright color pallet (and the torture for the eyes, oh my gosh). I was also initiated to manga, ence why the L haircut. Yes, the haircut was inspired on L back then. Judge old me, not present me, thank you. I think I was trying to have a cute badass character back then? Pretty sure it was one of the many, MANY design changes Fashion (now Démentia) went throught. It was supposed to bad a cat hedgehog hybrid? With what I supposed was meant to be a katana? Also, somehow, back in 2008... I HAD THE PATIENCE FOR LITTLE DETAILS AND ACCESSORIES. I mean, I'd have to show you other drawings from that time, but not today. I can't handle all the cringe I induce myself... I might redo some more drawings...

So yeah... Why did I redo this old drawing? Well, on my Discord group, we shared a lot of old drawing and for some reason, went through my sketch book from my first year of highschool. And for some reasons, I figured I could redo this one!

So here we have a much more solid character design (in my opinion). The character is actually badass looking and quite cute. No more hybrid thingy, but a plain cat design. I have removed so much acessories I was questionning their existences. Changed the haircut for something a bit more original. Made a proper katana. Adjusted the color pallet. to something more pleasing. I even went for a style that looks more like what I do and not... this thing back then!? There is now much more proper shadings to convey the effect I think I wished back then? And as a bonus! The character was granted their own name! in the style I might have named them back then as the cringy little girl I was discovering Japanese... Aozora (Blue sky).

So yeah. I think I gave Aozora a much more proper personnality here compared to back then. I mean... it looks like a blank face back in 2008... Also, I did a beauty mark under her eye as I wasn't sure of what I did under her eye in 2008. Stripes..? Blush marks...? Eyelashes.....?

Anyways. All this to say I am proud of how I improved since then AND OH MY GOSH I WAS CRINGY, IT HURTS!
