Personality :

He doesn't socialize a lot with the people around him. Only a few can have a full conversation with him (Akita and Fuji). He prefers to be alone with his thoughts (torments) and not bother people around him. From this, he appear cold, but in fact, if he can crack a joke, he will be more than happy to do one. He will be colder around adults, but with kids, he will be protective and friendly. Beside all that, he can be a great listener if someone needs it.

He his an alcoholic and a smoker. Akita asked him a lot to stop those habits, but he can't quit them. As he might say ; He needs it. He has a lot of trouble to find sleep because of his memories and if he was to sleep, nightmares hunt him, rendering the sleep less effective. He still have a lot flashbacks of the events from Vividen hunting him days and nights. He doesn't know what PTSD and depression are, so he doesn't realize his problems.

He doesn't like to ask for help since he had a lot of trouble to find help ten years ago. So he made an habit to work himself out of situations, even if it means thieving. He knows the implication of thieving, so he tries to steal only what he needs, but that doesn't mean he won't enjoy doing so and grab more gold to go drink. Sometime, he will treat himself by stealing some trinkets.

He has trouble killing, even for hunting. He doesn't like doing so because of the death of his entire family. As he says : It is his fault. This is why he couldn't bear himself to kill Fuji. It was pointless and he had enough blood on his hands.

To distract himself, he loves to draw in his cabin or to play shakuhachi (a Japanese flute) alone in the forest. Those are his more artistic ways of doing so. He has more destructive ways like drinking to the point he can't stand up (and pass out so he can ''sleep''). Or, if he goes to the city, he will go in a inn and break out a fight, may he be in the fight or not. He loves tricking people into beating themselves. He find it amusing to see how easy it is to trick people.

If someone is to offer him a better life, he will refuse most of the time, only accepting very little that doesn't change much is current life. He considers that ''he deserves'' the life he is actually in. Like some sort of sentence for all he did. Secretly, he wish all was better, but he cope will all the struggle he has.

It was her who found him after he had fall into a crevasse in the forest. He was all bloody and had a broken leg. Akita nursed him with her parents, but never were able to heal his skin, like if it was cursed. Once he was able to get out, he was unable to play with the others kids. They were afraid of him and his condition. So he tried to find work, without success. Adults found him disgusting. He quickly felt ashamed of himself and started hiding more and more. He knew he wasn't welcome. Despite the numerous invitations from Akita's parents to their family, he adamantly refused. ''He had taken enough of their kindness.'' So they found him an empty cabin were he still lives. Akita was from then on his only friend. He quickly grew an habit of stealing when going to the city, unable to find work and no wanting to ask for food or items from Akita's family. They never learned about it since he did his best to keep it quiet and lie about it. He go caught his first times as a kid, but quickly learned how to do so without being noticed. When he reached fifteen years old, he drank saké for the first time. He fell into the habit quite fast and then started to smoke some time later. Just a few weeks later, the habits were settle. Akita tried to stop him ever since, but was unable to do so. His depression only grew from then on. He lives without a purpose, but he doesn't think he needs one after all he did. He just has to stay alive and pay for the price of his lost family.

Other facts :

He can sense auras around him for a radius about 25 to 50 feet (depending if he focus on it or not). From this, he can know how a person feel and guess their intentions and their thoughts. He never talked about it because when he tried once with his parents, his dad gave him a upsetting look. He felt him angry, like if it wasn't normal. From then on, he kept this power to himself, but he was unable to part with it. He decided to learn to live with it by himself and make use of it. Before loosing his family, it was for playing pranks. Now, it's for thieving and his few social interactions.

From his power to sense aura, he learned a trick to push it further. If he can have a physical contact with someone, he can access their thoughts and even talk with them. He trained doing so with animals. At first, he found it funny to see how animals think. Now, he knows they are more than mindless creatures.

Otherwise, he barely uses magic, so people think he is unable or never learned to do so.

He had two brother and one sister when he lost his entire family.

Despite having a blind eye, he is pretty efficient with a bow.

He won't complain much about his height, but damn, Akita is tall!

He doesn't pray his goddess anymore some time after the lost of his family. He felt so abandoned from every one, that he doesn't believe anymore that she can be of help to him. He had prayed days ans nights to recover what he had lost and for forgiveness, it never happened. Even the simple request to have a job was ignored. From then on, he is without a religious faith. If he needs something, he will work himself out for it.

He loves saké and shōchū.

He isn't a fan of tea. Doesn't really appreciate the taste.

He doesn't have a sweet tooth. Everything sugary tends to make him a bit freak out. The taste is to overwhelming in his mouth. Like if the sugar was tickling his mouth. He might enjoy a bit of sweetness from time to time, but forget large quantity.

He can't bare the sight of someone eating an overly large meal. He can be easily sick from that view. So he eats only to satisfy his hunger, which can be little. Being stuffed isn't a feeling he appreciates. Akita respect it by only bringing small lunches to him if she does so.

He saw a few time homosexual men on the streets. He doesn't comprehend that attraction they can have, but stays quiet about it. If this what makes them happy, as long it is not toward him. He might try to understand more that subject, but for now, it is very weird for him.

He is still a virgin. He tried to pay a woman of joy more than a few times, but when they saw his scars, they all left him disgusted before anything had begun. From all this, he doesn't feel comfortable with his physic. If someone was to tell him he is beautiful, he will taunt them to say it again while showing the second half of his face. He will do so even with Akita.

Strangely, he loves garnets.
