I've been thinking this since I first heard the titles. XD
I actually highly doubt there's gonna be a connection between the two, but pretending there is, and knowing nothing about the legendaries (my usual deciding factor), I'm leaning towards Pokémon Moon. On FiM, I'm about 8 episodes into season 2, and while Celestia's great and all, they just made Luna way too precious in Luna Eclipsed. :3

If my parody can help you chose one of both games, I will be glad for it! I must admit if this was true, Pokémon Moon would be my main of both games. In fact... I think since I heard about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, it was obvious I'd take Pokémon Moon for my main game.

Well, like I said, it'll all come down to the legnedaries. Which, when you think about it, are the only real differences between games...
But as it stands, knowing just the names and inevitably making the connection to the princesses (as many others are also doing), like I said, I'm leaning towards Moon. We're gonna wanna be careful going that way though, for three reasons.
1: Double meanings on the word "Moon". (...this is why I hate my brain)
2: Someone else on dA made a connection to a different character and made cover art for "Pokémon Sailor Moon".
3: I heard this on a YouTube comments section, apparently in pagan cultures, sun spirits are seen as masculine while moon spirits are seen as feminine. But then again, we're both bronies, so I don't think we have to worry about looking manly (not to say we can't be manly, just that we probably shouldn't obsess over overcompensation).
