*headdesk* Pansexuality means that while you are not BLIND to gender differences beyond male and female, you care more about the PERSON than their BITS. It may very well have little to do with SEX and /everything/ to do with who you want to be romantically involved with.

Hope this made you less scared. :/

How do you go from 120% homosexual, to pansexual? D: I thought it was a matter of "liking penis and being disgusted of vagina" or the other way around? D:
I thought gay-men just felt really uncomfortable around women-parts? D:

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

TravelRiot In reply to PastelFrightmare [2013-04-23 13:03:33 +0000 UTC]

What?
...WHAT?
This is the epitome of false. You can believe you're gay a certain time of your life and then continue on to realize you just like the person rather than the gender. that's what pansexual means.
And where do you learn your facts..? Gay men and gay women ARE NOT disgusted by the opposite genders body parts.
Some may be, but I've only met one gay girl like that. Sigh. That's like saying straight women are DISGUSTED by their own parts. Gays don't function differently from straight and otherwise. Not to mention, do you see the date he was made? Take into consideration that this is a fictional character. People, as they learn more, adapt their characters as well.

PastelFrightmare In reply to TravelRiot [2013-04-23 13:36:54 +0000 UTC]

..... Relax you, I'm gay myself and know plenty of gay-guys, who's actually disgusted by the female bodies, most of all, the vaginas... :/ They like breasts, some of them and I find them nice too, but when it gets to the vagina-part, I just... Nah, don't... Ever want to... o_o'

just because you're gay doesn't mean you are disgusted by the opposite gender's body parts.
some gay men might even like women's bodies but can't have a mental/emotional relationship with them. and vice versa for gay women.

Oh, that makes good sense to me, thanks... OwO
But not having a mental/emotional relationship with them, is that what makes them gay, then? Oo' I just thought it was all about.. .Yeah sexuality and.. Sex? What turned people on and so on, like, what they wanted to actually have SEX with... :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ellecats In reply to PastelFrightmare [2013-04-23 13:52:22 +0000 UTC]

i think that depends on the person. i personally know a girl who did find men sexually attractive but she could never feel love for one; to her, it never felt right. but she fell in love with another girl.

you have to remember that in a relationship of love, it's the love that is most important to people, not the physical version of it. i hope this helps.

Sounds deep... :'3
And true...
Just thought that... yeah, SEXUALITY, was about sex and GENDER-preference,not just the love... :'3
That she's in love with a girl, doesn't mean she's all lesbian? D: I dunno... It sorta confuses me, still, but I also think it's a matter of how one look at it... :3
I myself, still thinks that gay, like GAY gays, are not into females at all, in a sexual way... :3 They can still find them pretty and beautiful and all, but they're not sexually attracted to them... x3 That just for the most gays I know... XD

theStarfly In reply to PastelFrightmare [2013-04-28 04:16:43 +0000 UTC]

A lot of the time "sexuality" is used synonymously with "amory", but they're not actually the same thing. For instance, I consider myself panamorous, but basically heterosexual. I could fall in love with anybody, but I'm only really attracted to male bits. But I supposed I'm probably a bad example, because I think ERRRYBODY is sexy. I just... don't want to have sex with the lady parts. They creep me out a little bit.
If I found the right person, I could get over that, though.

To reiterate the point, however, "bisexual" and "biamorous" are often used synonymously, but they don't technically mean the same thing. In technical terms, your sexuality is, basically, who you want to have sex with. And who you fall in love with is the sort of amory status. But because often times they are one in the same for most people (EX. a biamorous person, who is also sexually attracted to males or females), most people just interchange the two.

I hope that's not all confusing, or that I helped a little!

yes, she is a lesbian.
and right, like i said, it depends on the people. some may not like the opposite gender's body parts, some might. but personally i believe "sexuality" means what sex (gender) you like, not what gender you would want to have sex with.

Just a little side note, that's why Asexual people still need and want RELATIONSHIPS: Because they need the emotional connection, but not the sex.

ModerneVampiressa In reply to PastelFrightmare [2013-04-30 11:59:58 +0000 UTC]

People need relationships. They need connection. It's human nature. Even people who don't want or need sex. (Asexuals.) How is that opinion?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PastelFrightmare In reply to ModerneVampiressa [2013-04-30 14:28:57 +0000 UTC]

Because I know two girls who are asexual, and they are not interested in either sex OR relationships, they just wants to be alone and are fine that way..? D: They have their friends, but none of them have ever been in a relationship or had sex and one of them haven't EVER kissed anybody, because she finds it unattractive? D:
That's how... D: It depends on how people see it themselve, I guess... D: I dunno? I'm no expert? I just talk, from what I know of...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ModerneVampiressa In reply to PastelFrightmare [2013-04-30 14:42:40 +0000 UTC]

wow. You DO know that relationships can exist where there is no physical contact, yes? Your friends who do not want relationships are like Aromantic as well as Asexual. There is a real difference between the two of them.

In general, an Asexual person will still want an emotional connection to another person.

An Aromantic person does not want an emotional connection/relationship with another person.

It's being attracted to all genders.
Of course it doesn't mean you're attracted to everyone you meet, in the same way that heterosexual people aren't attracted to everyone of the opposite sex, just people that are special to them. Hope that helps!
