Sortof, but imagine bisexuality as more inclusive. Bisexuality mostly acknowledges the black and white binary genders (male and female), while pansexuality includes all the shades of grey in between (as well as colours too!). Pansexuality is also often associated with gender-blindness.
It's ok if you don't really get it completely, gender/sexuality can be very confusing. I don't really understand it myself and I'm kindof expecting someone to correct me on this.

I think you mean bisexual is EXclusive, because it excludes anyone not cis-gendered. >.>;

And it's not gender-blindness, it's wanting the person more than their parts. (that's not blindness, that's acceptance. Just saying.)

Ah yep, sorry, that is what I meant.
I did a little reading on gender blindness after I wrote this and found that it's a topic of quite a bit of contention...

No, you're surprisingly explaining it accurately. I myself identify as pansexual (but most times for the sake of avoiding confusion, I simply say I'm bisexual). You're correct though! It avoids the binary genders, I myself have actually been with a transsexual in the past (and let me tell you, that gartered some looks >_<). To me, a body is a body, I care more about the person inhabiting said body as opposed to the body itself (but of course I still have my shallow side, everyone does now and then)

I do the same thing ! It's just too much of a hassle to call yourself pan, cuz then people are all "So... you like... wanna make out with raccoons?" etc. Or they just get really confused.

I find pansexuality to be a very interesting thing, especially how an individual can be inherently so accepting that it's a natural part of their lives. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with dating a trans person, but I don't know, I'm still young.

No, bisexual is attracted to males and femals, pansexuals can be attracted to straight people, bi people, gays, transgenders, hermaphrodites, anything. If they meet somebody very special to them, it doesn't matter the gender.
