Levi looked down at the pained expression on your face. A slight spark of fear could be seem through his emotionless stare. However, it was quickly thrown out as the Lance Corporal regained his composure and looked up to shoot the brown-headed teen in front of him a stare.

"Eren." He said, calmly. "I need you to run back to the store we were just at and by some peroxide. QUICKLY!!"

"B-but sir... (Name) she..." Eren stammered as he slowly stood up, looking down at your motionless body with worry.

"Are you questioning your superior, Cadet?" Levi spat, shooting Eren another glare.

"No sir. Of course not."

"Then go get me some damned peroxide already! I'll take care of the situation here! Just go god damn it!"

Slowly, Eren backed up. Then, after taking a few step, he spun around and ran quickly through the gathering crowd and towards the store they had been at not too long before.

Once Eren was out of sight, Levi turned towards you, and gently placed a hand onto your bleeding side. He watched as your chest rose and fell normally, though the pained look on your face. The middle-aged man let out a small sigh of relief.

"Good." He said aloud. "The stitches in her lung are still intact."

He looked down at you, his brow furrowed in disgust. "However, she's still losing too much blood, and it will take a too long to get her back to HQ for professional treatment. Fuck."

Ignoring the stinging eyes of the crowd of people, and the fact that he was about to flush most of his dignity down the toilet, he reached up for his cravat. Quickly and skillfully, he removed the cloth from his around his neck and set it onto the filthy ground. Displeased with how filthy his clothes were getting, he let out a groan as he reached up towards his collar. Carefully, he unbuttoned his white shirt and slid it off of his shoulders, revealing his toned abs.

Gasps and chatter began to escape from the mouths of the bystanders.

"He must be with the military." He heard one say. "Only someone in the military could have muscles like those.

Brushing aside the incessant muttering of the townspeople, he grasped the end of one of the sleeves tightly in between his teeth and tore it from the rest of the cloth. Which he then proceeded to do with the rest of his shirt, until the shirt in its entirety had been torn into long, white strips.

Not wanting to reveal your womanhood in front of so man strange people, he quickly began to wrap the makeshift ace wraps tightly around your clothed bosom. Grabbing his dirty cravat from the ground, he pressed it harshly onto the one wound at your side; wrapping it quickly with the other white cloth.

Once he had finished, he sat back onto his heels and sighed. He wasn't going to let you die. You were all he had left of his family. A family he had failed to protect.

"H-Heichouuuu!" Levi heard Eren yelled from ahead of him. The shaggy headed teenager ran towards his commanding officer, waving the bottle of peroxide above his head as he ran.

Carefully, Eren set the bottle in the Corporal's hands. However, whenever Levi looked up to thank him, he saw that the teen was obviously distracted.

"What the hell are you looking at, Cadet?" Levi scolded, making Eren snap back into reality.

"O-oh, I'm sorry, Sir. It's just that..." He trailed off.

"That what?" The Corporal said angrily.

"That, you're ripped, sir." Eren confessed as he stared down at his superior's perfected sculpted torso.

Levi faced towards you once again as he opened the small, glass bottle; trying to pretend that he had never heard that. Once he had managed to pop the rubber cap off of the small vial, he slowly poured it down your injured side, soaking your side and the cloth surrounding it. After sealing the bottle, he handed it towards Eren, which he happily took and placed inside one of the many bags that he now carried.

Carefully, he slid his hand underneath your body and picked you up. The cool, wet cloth on your side gave him the shivers as your body lay limp against his bare chest.

By the time you came to, it was already early evening. At least, that's what you figured whenever you saw a plate of slightly warm food placed on the bedside table next to you.

Slowly, you got up, ignoring the stinging sensation that dominated the left side of your body. You winced as you pulled yourself back to rest onto the headrest at the end of your bed.

"Try not to move so suddenly." A familiar voice called.

You looked over to see a shaggy-headed teen smiling up at you.

"Good evening, Eren." You managed to say through your painful yawn.

"Hi, (name). You gave us a real scare there. I'll go let Heichou know that you're awake. But be careful, I'm pretty sure he's really pissed at you. You made him worry a lot." Eren said before quickly exiting the room.

Sighing, you looked up at the ceiling.

'God damn it." You thought to yourself. 'This is not how I wanted to spend today.'

Your thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the door to Levi's office, quick footsteps, and a sharp pain exploding across you cheek. Placing a hand onto your now sore cheek, you looked up towards the man who had assaulted you. His ebony hair shining slightly as he glared down murderously at you.

Gulping down the saliva that had gathered in your mouth, you looked up at him, a slight twinge of horror visibly reflected in your eyes.

"Do you have ANY idea what you just did?!" You heard the Corporal shout.

You looked down to the covers over your waste. "Yes, sir."

"Do I have spell out for you how DANGEROUS what you had just done was?!"

"No, sir."

"Then why the fuck did you risk your life like that, Cadet?! Do you want to DIE?!"

"No, sir. I just wanted to make the two of you a nice dinner as thanks for all your help once I had gotten better!" You pleaded, tears stinging your eyes.

Levi's quickly grabbed onto your shoulders. Slumping his shoulders and lowering his head for a moment before he shot his gaze back up to meet yours, eyes full of pain and worry.

"The dinner can wait." He said softly. You almost hadn't heard him. "Right now, what's important is that you get better and STAY ALIVE! I need you ALIVE! You're all I have left of those peaceful days. The only thing I have to remind me of those times we spent so carefree. So, please, you can't put yourself in danger like that!" Slowly, he released his tight grip from your shoulders, letting his arms drop back to his sides. He then stood up quickly -keeping his head down-, and walked out of the room. Slamming the door shut behind him.

Surprised and scared, you sat there for a second before reaching your hands up to your shoulders and embracing yourself. Soon, salty tears began to slide down your face. And for the first time in a long while, you bawled like a child.

Levi stood against the door to his office. Soft whimpers and cries rang through the empty halls as he heard (name) crying in the room behind him. Grinding his teeth together he let out a "Tch" as he lunged forward, smashing his fist into the wall in front of him.

He ignored the pain that stung throughout his hand as tears once again began to cascade down his cheeks.

He wanted to comfort you and apologize to you. However, a mix of his stubbornness and your stupidity kept him from doing so.

All he could do was listen to your crying voice as tears fell down his own, grieving face.
