ItΒ΄s a pretty basic photomanipulation, done with Photoshop. Just the backgrounds removed from all the stock-photos, and then placed everything to form up a new image. And on top of that, some tones added on top of the whole thing to make it blend better, and some tiny details re-worked and some unwanted bits removed.

but how do you make the lines so clean in the cropping of the stock photos? like the girl doesnt look clipped at all, and it managesto look like shes actually in the scene....

Oh, thatΒ΄s pretty much just practise, combined with the polygonal lasso. I do pretty much all my background removal with it, feather is set to 0 pixels, and when IΒ΄m doing the removal, I first zoom in to actual pixels, then zoom in three times before starting to click with the lasso. Nothing else, just patience and enough clicking. And in time, itΒ΄s possible to get good results with it, surprisingly quickly too.

so how long does the usual removal take?

It depends on the stockphoto pretty much, models usually around ~10minutes or so, if thereΒ΄s nothing tricky in the photo, scenery stuff like mountains etc usually less than 10. With buildings, like the balcony in this piece usually takes me the longest, removing the background from that was around 15mins or maybe a little more, canΒ΄t remember.

Yeah, the mountainshot has that vibe. And the yellow tone supports it somewhat.

Yeah, makes one think of Vienna and Mozart and all that jazz - sorry classics

Indeed, a lovely view. The sepia-like coloring does indeed make your mind wonder to the age of bronze shields and phalanxes, and toga wearing priests who rape goats in order to address their gods and ask them to bring a fearsome rain of havoc and peanuts and the squirrelly doom! Eh, i'm second thought, forget what I said after the toga priests

ThatΒ΄s some imagination you have, and all that from just the sepia-tone. Thanks for the comment, even though somewhat random, but still a pleasure to hear.
