I was very happy with the return of Jean Grey to X-Men, and in a throwback to her Jim Lee 90s look. When I saw the Travis Charest cover of X-Men Red #1, I had to do some fanart.

I always want to do a cool art nouveau picture. This is the closest I have come so far. I used watercolor pencils and pencil outlines with no markers or pens. To mimic the style I used dark thick outline with thin, lighter interior line but the hair was the key.
