Description
I drew this after seeing Shatterstar in the trailer for Deadpool 2, as I was very excited for the character's inclusion in a movie-verse in his OG outfit not his new buzz cut/business suit. Confession is that I know very little about the character other than his design as I grew up with Marvel cards and liked his dual wielding pirate vibe. 90s X Men were king and he is kind of a forgotten product of that era.

Art wise I tried using just watercolor pencils but quickly ran into problems with the white on white outfit and lacked a grey watercolor so had to put in some blues which were hard to use without covering everything. I also tried some liquid masking which ended up just making a murky grey tone paint instead of a removable film. Given this I had to touch up the hair with alcohol markers and the eyes with whiteout.

Overall the pose was a too ambitious given the space resulting with important elements off camera. Also using the full space of the sketchbook page is a nightmare for scanning means lots of editing to the actual full image to appear.
