Description
Before environmentalism was trendy, Captain Planet was trying to blaze a trail to teach kids the best way it knew how. The message may have been tainted by the commercialized info-tainment but there was a good idea and some cool designs. This is evident by OK KO's recent crossover with the OG voices.This started as a redraw series of early Deviant art posts but this is as far as its gotten. 8 years ago with the original I was pretty foreign to digital art and I tried to jump in head first. After classes and some years of practice I realize that I can only do a little digital. So this time I used pencils and vector shapes to create a finished digital piece.

You know, if they were to try a reboot now, I bet it'd actually be pretty dang good so long as the characters don't always default to calling on the Cap every episode. Just let the kids figure things out themselves every once in a while, ya know?
Also, there'd NEED to be an episode where Monti is brainwashed into being evil or something, but instead of doing a complete 180 into destroying habitats, he goes the other extreme by turning into an animal-whispering eco-terrorist. Like, he legit wants to save the planet, but one of the steps he takes in doing so is getting all the Earth's animals to join his army which he commands like a general.
Why, because no one seems to get just how OP the Heart Ring is & this would be an excellent way to showcase it, especially if the Cap can't help because Monti isn't doing anything to harm the Earth &, as much as he hates to say it, Captain Planet is bound to certain rules. I mean, how bad to the bone would it be to see Moni riding in on the back of a LION?!

Lots of great ideas here, but I think Cartoon Network is, unfortunately, focusing on Titan Titans Go! Maybe since VRV has Boomerang they could produce serious shorts for a more serious crowd.
Also, just a note the character is Ma-Ti from South America, not Monti.

Ah! I did not know that. I'm just so used to calling him Monti... Also, I always thought he was Native American not South American, but then again, it's been literal YEARS, so my surprise at being wrong is nill.
Another thing that'd be really cool would be if the kids with element rings had the potential to control their assigned elements on the level of benders from avatar, but they need to train in certain styles for that. Like, actually train. Ma-Ti would be more like a Chi-Blocker/martial arts specialist while utilizing attacks mimicking the traits of animals, kinda like Vixen from DC. Meanwhile, the Cap would be more like the Avatar, but different.
