I think her hair came out well - it has that shimmery, ethereal look like in Ep II that I loved. Cool pose too!

see, im going to have to disagree with you on that one. i actually wasnt too fond of her hair in the second game. in my opinion, it was too dark. the purple effect was neat, but the shades should have been lighter, like in ep. 1 and ep. 3.

You do have a point - it was very much darker in Ep 2 than the others. Though I think I know why they did it...blame the anti-gnosis gel! That was already light blue, so they probably thought they would need to darken her hair so there wouldn't be too much light blue.
What did think of her version 2 on the whole and what was your favourite version?

i hated version 2, honestly. my favorite is actually her first, the fourth following very very closely. the gel looked ridiculous in v.2 (not to mention her voice actress was terrible XD) it just looked really wierd to me, like they couldn't think of anything better before they started animating the game. all the detail that made the first awesome was gone and replaced by a dumpy looking full-body suit. really, her hair was what made me mad. im glad they lightened it in ep. 3 ^^

It was pretty weird hearing a different voice with version 2. I'm actually with you on favourites...though sometimes I do change. I also think V.1 was the best and V.4 is extremely close, sometimes I would even say it was tied. Lately, though I've gotten quite attached to V.3 too.
She had this tough but vulnerable look, kinda like a porcelain doll. ^^

i dont know why they couldnt keep the original actresses for shion, kos-mos, and momo. the new people they found were really disappointing. momo sounded way to young and kossy sounded too human. shion was just wierd after getting used to her 1st actress. as for V.1 being the best, sometimes its really hard to out-do the original. V.3 wasnt too bad. it was obvious that they wanted to keep the skin-tight look of V.2, but they put a lot more thought into it this time so it looked so much better. now that i think about it, i kinda agree w/ u about the doll thing.

I do think the original voice actress for KOS-MOS did her perfectly. She also did her again in Ep 3, didn't she? Sounded similar...but I 'd have to check.
I've already designed 2 different looks for a V.5 KOS-MOS, so when I put them up, you can tell me what you think. ^^

yeah. bridget hoffman did the voice over for kos-mos in 1 and 3 (she was uncreditied in 1). i've got 1/2 of a look for V.5 kossy XD i forgot about it about halfway through and never finished. the plan is halfway through my other sketchbook (the one that fell apart and is now held together by tape and glue XD) yeah, when u get them up, ill definitely take a look!

There's another question I wanted to get your thoughts on - what do you think the connection was between Shion & Mary in their past lives?

shion was probably somebody that mary was meant to protect, but something went wrong and she didnt do it XD shion got hurt and things went downhill. -shrugs- i really dont get it either. thats just my take on it
i also made new outfits for shion and momo, but i only finished momo (dont look tho cause i gotta make a new one XD)

*hee* Yeah, they never really made it clear what the connection was. Based on what some people have said, I have two theories - Shion, in her past life was either Mary's daughter or her sister.
When Kevin went to get Mary's body, Vergil says "So your gonna use the daughter instead of the imperfect mother"
But then Nephilim says "In the distant past, she laughed and cried with you. She is your other half."
By that, it could mean she was Mary's twin??
Ok, I guess I can wait to see the new outfits. ^^
I'm busy doing Shion and KOS-MOS's outfit designs now. Got one for MOMO, but still need to develop it more.

i really like the xenosaga series, but i think they made it a little too complex. personally, i got just about everything except the relationship between shion and mary.
kossy's design is the only one i need to work on. im not changing shions and i think im only changing one thing about momo's. i designed a prototype kirschwasser outfit too ^^
