The biologist's diary
Day 14, May, 3237

Great situation... I was captured by a troop of aboriginal thylacines and they brought me into their village! Of course I was frightened but also impressed.
Thylacins were everywhere I glanced, males, females and children either. Most of them stared at me with sour, unfriendly eyes that made shiver through my spines. But I had no time for looking because the warriors dragged me hard to the main square and tossed me to the ground.
I moaned and knelt up just when the curtains of the big hut moved away and a big male stepped out in feather and leather clothes. I had no doubt he was the leader.
He turned to the warriors and asked something on their barking language. One of them answered with strong gestures and pointed his spear at me. I've got the idea he thinks I want to harm them. The leader looked over me, he was not mad or nervous but curious.
"Sir... I don't want to harm anybody" I knew it's useless but I tried to communicate with the leader as slow as I can to understand. I also tried to gesticulate "I came so far just to find you"
He raised a brow and tilted his head. I sighed.
"Listen... I came by plane. You know... big flying metal bird!"
"Are you idiot?"
"No I'm... what???" the word gagged in my throat as I gazed upon the leader with wide eyes.
"I said: Are you idiot?" I didn't dream, the leader talked to me.
"You speak english?"
"Of course I do. Maybe you tough we're uncivilized?"
"I ehm... maybe yes... I didn't know... ungghh please can you uncuff me? These ropes hurt!" I muttered.
"Don't listen to her!" now the warrior talked "I bet she's a spy to find out our weaknesess and then defeat us! I offer to kill her right here right now!"
I shocked. Kill me? Oh god please help...
"Enough!" raised his hand the leader "First let her tell why she came to us." one thylacine untied my ropes.
"Huh thank you. Ehm... well, my name is Molly Mountain. I'm an explorer and biologist. I came to this place to find and study your kind. I always heard about you in legends but never imagined I really find a whole clan"
"I told you she's a spy!" snarled the warrior "She want to know everysthing then exterminate us!"
"Stop it Typhoon!" from the crowd another thylacine stepped out. She was the most beautiful female I ever see. Thin and graceful. She walked here and stared at the male with a sour face.
"This not your concern River. Go back home!" barked the Typhoon named one.
The female, River turned away from him and walked to me. I blinked back shy as she examined me and sniffed.
"She's not bad" answered River "Then why not she can stay?"
"You know it's dangerous for our clan" said the leader.
"I won't I promise!" I stated "I won't harm or disturb you just please, let me study how you live"
The leader tough it over hard then sighed and nodded.
"Okay... but if you really a spy as Typhoon told we will not have mercy"
"I... I know" me gulped then the female touched my shoulder kindly.
"Come, stay in our hut while you be here"
"NO WA..." Typhoon wanted to resist but a sour glance from the other shut him up.
This was how my study started in the thylacine village.
