Yes, it says that if you have homosexual sex you will be put to death. Not even counting the fact that these laws only apply to the nation of Israel, if you're gay but just don't act upon it you're fine.

When these laws were made, there was only Sheol. No heaven or hell, AKA there was no divine judgement. The laws were created to keep the nation of Israel away from sin. However with the coming of Christ these laws are invalid, since all sins are forgivable.

You need to improve your reading comprehension then.
Before the coming of Christ, there were NO HEAVEN OR HELL. Only the afterlife, Sheol.
This means there was no repension from sin. No matter what you do you're going to the same place.
Sin is, even without this, bad and unhealthy for any society. So God created strict laws for the nation of Israel, as it had been destroyed multiple times by sin.
With the coming of Christ, each man has his chance to repent and enter the kingdom of the Lord, so there is no point to punish any action; just to help the perpetrator realize he was wrong and repent.

I never said sin didn't exist before Christ, I said redemption didn't exist. Everyone went to the same afterlife.

That's easy for you to accept because you're probably a male. (Sorry if you are a female)
To be a real Christian is to have faith in God alone.
Even Jesus disagreed much of the Old Testament. He accepted women as equals, ignored Sabbath day and worked instead, and the ritual slaughter of animals. There are much more though that's not the whole point here.
We are human. We sin, disagree and have different opinions.
I really do want to be with God and Jesus, it's just hard to accept everything that the Bible says.
