The characters of her name don't match in a way that means anything specifically. The character for kimi is used as the suffix -kun and as an informal way to say the pronoun you, and the character for ka means fragrance/scent/aroma and incense. People will sometimes ask me for the meaning of a geiko's name, thinking it'll mean something like graceful or cherry blossom, but due to the pattern of taking part of an older sister's name and adding something else, their names generally don't mean anything in particular. It's in places where there isn't an apprentice system and name taking where geisha may take names with more obvious and discernible meanings, such as in Atami. But even in other places without the name taking system, like Tokyo's geisha districts, they want names that sound like names. Most parents don't give their children names with obvious meanings, they combine different kanji to create good stroke numbers, so in districts that do the same thing, the names won't really mean anything either.

I cannot give you permission to use this photograph. I literally can't, because this isn't just a photo I took. It contains Kimika's image. To use her image in a book, I would fundamentally need her permission as well, which I cannot get. So, I'm afraid the answer is no.

Actually, not all geisha are sweet and lovely. They are individual people with individual personalities. That's why they have so many fans around the world, fans get attached to the individual

I'm not sure what it is, maybe the brightness of her eye's or the the way her nose is but her face to me is just PERFECT, like looking at a well made statue.
Also, the way her lips are painted so fully with that ever so slight hint of a smile just.. I don't know the words! Perfection, as you've said.

She has always been one of those perfect beauties, almost unbelievable in a way. There are some pictures of her in which it's hard to imagine the shot was candid.
I really like the way her lips were painted for her Erikae. During Erikae, a professional make-up artist is hired, but I hope she keeps painting full lip when she begins putting on her own make-up again.
