This is a CLOSED species for the time being. That means do not make one unless you have permission from me.

What are they:
Skimmers are a subspecies of breezies. They have the same body size as breezies, but very thin legs and wings.

Food:
Skimmers love to eat plants and various fruits and veggies as treats.

Basic traits:
-Scales on back and face
-Basic Markings on stomach
-Long/Medium lionlike/dragonlike tail
-Gossamer Wings
-Scales Same Color as Coat

Uncommon traits:
-Short Tail
-Dual Colored Scales
-Small Fin Mutation
-Curled Ears
-Cat Eyes (Slit Pupil)
-Long Ears
-Scales Do Not Match Coat
-Short Whiskers
-Long Feelers
-Colored Lines on Wings
-Spotted Markings

Rare traits:
-Multicolored/Rainbow Scales
-Large Fin Mutations
-Long Whiskers
-Colored Wings
-Glowing Eyes
-Mirage

Habits:
Skimmers like to live near still water such as ponds and lakes. They enjoy densely vegitated areas and build their homes on the ground in the bases of plants. Skimmers are also very skittish. They don't like open air so they mainly travel by 'skimming' the top of the water. Oftentimes they are seen as being the rarest breezie species around, but this is mainly due to their shy nature.

They have a love of shiny things and like to find trinkets and baubles to make accessories out of.

Babies are able to walk super quick and since the parents don't fly high too often they end up being very independent from a young age. Skimming the water is something that's learned when they get older though, so young Skimmers end up propelling themselves through the water like tiny motorboats.

Skimmer Wings are very delicate. When flying you can't really see them as they flap too fast, much like a dragonfly's. When still you can easily see intricate designs on each wing.

Skimmers don't actually have full antennae, but they do have small sensors on their heads.
