Description
This information is outdated! Things have changed. The world expanded! Please check out the group for them for more info-The-Breezie-Grotto
And for more information on this species and what's new please check out this journal: Information - Wysps
If you're interested send me a note with what you want (traits, colors, wing shape, etc.) and we can hash out the details.
This is a CLOSED species for the time being. Do not make your own wysps.
This was one of those breezie subspecies I mentioned. If people are interested then I was planning on doing some adopts of these, but first some information.
(Also, right before uploading this I looked at other adopts just to get and idea of what to put on a ref and I came across 's mothlings which are similar, but there are many differences. I just wish to state that I did not have any idea about them and I am in no way attempting to step on any toes. If Aqua feels these are too similar to their species and doesn't want me to make adoptables, then I won't. But I would rather be safe than sorry.)
What are they:
Wysps are a subspecies of breezie. They are slightly bigger than breezies and have very large wings. They are mostly nocturnal and live in forests and swampy areas.
Food:
Wysps can survive on nectar and berries, but they do enjoy insects every so often. They have fangs in their mouths to help catch prey.
Basic traits:
-Spiral, Stripes, and Spot markings
-Glowing Markings
-Short/Medium Tail
Uncommon traits:
-Glowing Antennae
-Long Tail
-'Winged' ears
-Folded ears
-Full Mane
-Trailing Mane
Rare traits:
-Fire Starter
-Shimmering Wings
-Shimmering Mane
-Sleeper
-Horn
-Shaped Markings (Stars/diamonds/seasonal shapes)
Habits:
Wysps live deep in the woods. Their wings and sometimes even markings give off a glow at night and they especially like to use this for their own entertainment. Wysps can be mischievous little creatures. They like to find lost ponies at night and use their glow to lead them around into plants of poison joke or brambles. It's all for fun and once they get bored they'll lead them back to a path. They live in trees and build nests in the branches. When many gather together it can be very bright.
Babies have very small wings and cannot fly on their own. They end up being very dependent on their parents/caretaker until they grow into their wings. Other than that they are very fluffy and pretty much just tiny puffballs.
The wings of Wysps are not seethrough at all, they are very much like moth wings and are covered in a fine powder.
(I realized making two patterns per wysp would include more work, and therefore raise the price on them. So that feature has been removed.)
I will add more information as needed/requested.
And also I inked it in SAI! First fully inked SAI picture, guys! Super excite. (It's not that good, but I'm still happy)

Not really. Only on the tail.

With the mane, would you up to halfway on the neck would be considered normal? Or would that count as Full mane?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
FuyusFox In reply to Fayire [2016-07-11 14:37:22 +0000 UTC]
Full mane makes the chest fluff start at the chin and go to/past the shoulders, essentially giving them a lion like mane.

Question about the Fire-starter trait. What colours can the fire be, and are the areas ONLY limited to the ears, hooves and wings? I've seen that the fire is usually the colour of the whysps' eyes, but what if the said whysp has heterochromia?

FuyusFox In reply to Wind--Borne [2016-06-23 14:58:14 +0000 UTC]
There's no rule it has to match their eyes. Look at Banshee.

Question, do all wysps have those ear shapes, or is that just your art style?
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
FloweryFruitFangs In reply to FuyusFox [2016-06-28 17:04:47 +0000 UTC]
The ear shape of the wysps, I was wondering if their ears are supposed to be the same as a normal ponies, or if they were shaped that way because of your art style (which is very cute btw), I'm pretty sure its the ladder at this point.

FuyusFox In reply to FloweryFruitFangs [2016-07-11 14:35:00 +0000 UTC]
Same as normal ponies.
There are a couple mutations that change the look though.

Tips of the wings, around the hooves, or on the sides of the head (around the ears)

Full Mane is basically they have a more lion like mane rather than the normal neck fluff.
