Dawnweaver History: Part 1

Dawnweavers are the original inhabitants of the grove and, by proxy, the grotto. Long ago they lay down the foundations of civilizations and were the beginning of the five species that inhabit the area today.

Unlike their Equestrian counterparts, these Sumarian variants of breezies didn’t have a safe dimension of their own to call home and were forced to deal with the large world around them. Due to this they were required to find and improvise new ways to survive in the harsh world of the big ones.

There were two main recognized ways of achieving this; adapting traits of the creatures around them to defend themselves, or focusing on honing in their own magical energy and harnessing it. The Dawnweavers who focused on magic didn’t really gain traits from animals, but instead focused their time on learning the world around them...and how to control it.

Elemental research was headed by a Dawny named Saestros (Say-ES-trose). It was a new art to learn and many Dawnies jumped on board to gain the ability to manipulate fire and water. This began the school of the first Magus.

Magic for Beginners: Chapter Five

Now that you have mastered the basics of controlling your own magical forces, it's time to apply them to the elements around you.

A good starting place for control is the aquatic branch. Water is ever changing and never stills, but is also easily molded into whatever form you wish of it.

For this chapter, you must master your grasp on the forces of water.
