Bantham, Devon, UK.Not sure I should have gone mono on this one as there were some nice yellows in the rocks and somehow its lost all sense of scale as this is a pretty big pillar of rock. Lots of bubbles in the foreground if you look carefully. Got a bit greedy and a bit too close here so came away with a wet arse but thankfully a dry camera !

I think a crop,maybe even down to a sq could improve the comp here but what a fantastic location and with the style,again right out of 1,000,000 years BC...top image Fuzzy

Hmm, this is a quandary indeed and I should say first of all that I like this picture a helluva lot. In mono it has an IR-like ghostliness that lends an eerie twist to the mist, but in colour I'm sure the bold colours on the rocks would've stood out. Nice composition, although in mono I think the cloud looks a bit superfluous so you could probably crop a couple of cm off the top edge and have the pillar higher up in the photo and presiding over the foreground rocks. In colour the pillar would probably stand out against the background more. Choices choices, so many to make...
