Description
Behold, square k3. This is my contribution to the deviantART Record-Book Attempt , coordinated by goldenchild3k .Title is "Two Faced".. done in Photoshop with a Wacom. Sketched, then coloured with paintbrush/smudge tool, then cleaned up the edges with the pen tool.
I was gonna do more with the background, but I liked how it looked at this stage, so I left it. Made with 2 of krash 's stock photos.

Three small (and somewhat insignificant) critiques:
1.) The right side (his right side) of the upper lip doesn't match the rest of his right side of the face. The rest of the face has a pinkish color, but the lips have a brighter, yellowish color. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, so I just thought I'd point that out.
2.) The shadowing on the right side (his right side) of the head seems a little uneven. The shadow starts off near the edge, even with the eye, then comes in on top of the cheek, and then shrinks to the edge again for the rest of the cheek. Actually, it's not all that noticeable.
3.) The texture of the entire head, the eyes, the lips, and the teeth all seem to share the same consistent texture. If the lips, the teeth, and more importantly, the eye, had a wet, glossy look, I think it would really help the realism in this piece, if that's what you're after.
But overall, this piece is enjoyable. The faces certainly seem to have different personalities, which makes for a creepy kind of look. And that background is just incredible. I'm going to have to search through Krash's gallery now.
As cool as this is, I would've loved to see it in a 2D cartoony form with a dark outline and without the soft shadows and highlights. But that's what I think to myself every time I see a piece with realistic coloring in it.

I like the texture and shape of the face.. It's cool. I never really liked abstract faces by Picasso because they were always too flat and plain.. This I DO like though.. The shading makes it look more 3D

I just typed a huge comment, stopped to look at the painting again, nd was so enthralled by it that I accidentally hit the fullview link, and lost the entire thing... ...This is museum quality work you've done... The grungy background images perfectly compliment the cartoony, VanGogh styled face in the foreground... If you can paint like this on a traditional canvas, you could easily find yourself professional someday... Keep up the amazing work, this is my new spotlighted favorite... I love this piece. The background isn't really what one would expect to go with such an airbrushing, but that fact just adds to the wackyness of this piece.

The iris of the left (my left, his right) eye is a little elongated at the top, and not rounded. I love the right (my right, his left) ear. Very cool. The colors of the face are amazing. The overall design is very interesting. The background is cool, and appropriate in a not-related kind of way.
