Description
A very hard time for all the dinosaurs...a drought has started forcing most of the plant eaters to search for food and water elsewhere. With scarce food, tempers are soaring high among the meat-eaters and scavengers. A fight is sure to start between these two T-Rex.....i was practicing line of action in dinosaurs when i doodled this scene in my sketchbook. i liked the sketch a lot and decided to color it!

Hi fuzzypinkmonster!
As promised, here is a critique for your work e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

In my opinion, Clash of the Titans is very solid both in style and execution. Most of all, it has a lot of character, as it's not trying to be photorealistic, but rather feels like an image straight out of the artists imagination.
In that regard, there is little for me to criticize. Would the artwork have benefited if you've put as much effort and attention to detail into the background as into the dinosaurs? I think yes; however, this picture is clearly about the clash of the titans and not about the scenery.
For that reason I think that you are perfectly justified in concentrating on the protagonists more.
So what's left to criticize?
Not much, but I would like to make a few suggestions as to how, I think, you could have made it better!
In my rating, I have given you the least points for the impact. So let me explain why!
"Clash of the Titans". The name suggests a great battle of giants.
However, that's not the impression you get from this picture.
Because of the huge foliage in the foreground and the big mountains, the dinosaurs look relatively small. They certainly don't feel like titans.
Had you put more distance into the background and made the stuff on the ground smaller, the T-Rex' would look much bigger in comparison and the picture would get a lot more impact.
You also could have brought much more excitement into it by setting the camera much lower to the ground. Right now, the pov is at eyeheight with the dinosaurs. If it was lower, the beasts would have looked much more imposing.
Lastly, the postures are not *quite* ideal. While the T-Rex on the left looks wonderfully aggressive, the one on the right looks a bit like he's going for a walk XD .
His posture and expression doesn't make clear what he's doing. He looks rather unimpressed, in the sense of "what's this guy wanting from me?" ^^' .
Perhaps you could have given him a stronger twist in his pose. I imagine that he would have looked much more thrilling and dynamic if his body was facing right and his head was revolving backwards to face his opponent, for example.
And that's it for my critique of this work ^^ . I hope you find it helpful and benefit from it in your future work!

hey thanks a lot for the wonderful words!!..you know i think i chose the wrong title..i was actually aiming for the t-rex on the left to challenge the one on the right!..its my mistake for not making it clear!..as for what you said about the background, you are correct!..i should have made the other things smaller as compared to the dinosaurs!..im not very good with backgrounds..will surely work on them more!..backgrounds and lighting
anyway
thanks again!
have a nice day
