I mentioned that I tried out some new light setups in this shoot and this was one of the first "brand new" setups for me in quite some time. I have been getting a little TOO comfortable with the ring light, I fear!

It deviates from my usual three point lighting so it's a bit out of my comfort zone and style, but I love how it turned out and I can see myself using it again, for sure!

As main light I had a Yongnuo YN560 Speedlite flash in a 60cm square softbox to his right on a boom stand, quite close to him at a downward angle.

As second light I had a Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash in a 2 meter high strip box with a grid on, behind him and pointing inwards at him.
