Description please read this if you're going to even attempt to argue me
I'm fucking sick and tired of arguing this offline and on.

I don't give a shit what the "Bible" says, the Bible doesn't determine the meaning of the word animal.

GET THE HELL OVER IT!

Being an animal is based of biological properties, NOT BEHAVIOR, SPIRITUALITY OR INTELLIGENCE! In other words stop using the lame arguements: Humans have souls, cause wars, are smarter, have morals and any other bullshit related to our behavior.

THAT HAS NOTHING AND I REPEAT NOTHING TO DO WITH HUMANS BEING ANIMALS, DIMWIT!!!

Why can't you just look up what animal means instead of arguing using an outdated book?

Really would you argue that elephants aren't indangered because an outdated text says their population is fine? FUCK NO! So why argue the meaning of a word by using old text?

Meanings of words change over time, the definition of animal is one of those words and no amount of arguing with G-manluver will make your argument right.

You're wrong, humans are animals, you're wrong, too bad, so sad, use a dictionary, you're wrong!

The end!

PS: you can argue it here but again no amount of arguing will me with change the proper definition of animal . Just sit back, relax and live with the thought that you aren't a plant or fugi at the least!

EDIT: apparently my stamp is the most popular one of the day D:. wow this did much better than presumed.

EDIT 2: I said get over it! So GET OVER IT. your faith is incapable of changing known information so quit with the "God made us special" crap because if you can't prove it (meaning first you'd have to prove God exist, than get him to prove he created humans than get him to prove he made them into a unique seperate lifeform from all other species) than you have no argument. simple right?

happy you agree, actually I'm pretty glad that like 99% of the people that commented agreed with me.

LOL Thats good to hear! I dunno why people don't want to be animals. Unlike plants we can talk, move, eat, drink, and have sex. lol

Yes, we'are animals. Other animals by the way, can have wars, moral of a sort, kill just for fun and do many other things like that. It all was invented long before humans appeared.

Also it's pretty stupid to say "omg! God made us special!" May be He/She/They/It "made special" many other species which are very different from us?

Some old religions say that humans and animals are relative. Damn, they are right actually.

G-manluver In reply to Charanty [2009-08-11 17:24:04 +0000 UTC]

indeed, I personally think its kinda selfish to think God made millions of types of animals but only cares about 1, just because the bible says he made us in his image doesn't equate that he didn't make any other animals in his image or that humans are the only ones that matter.

this is true. You'd assume a higher being would love every lifeform he made. You can have personal favorites but it isn't like its the only one that matters xP

There was said human was created in His image and likeness. But what does mean to be alike with Him/Her/Whatever? I'm sure it doesn't imply physical appearence. It's more in behaviour i think. But from this point (if we take same Bible) it comes out that animals are more alike to Him/Her/Whatever than humans.*here my brains overheated a bit*

xD it be like saying a cat is a feline but not a mammal. People REALLY need to get familiar with how biology classifies animals.

lolz We should quit that kind of mindset now before we get our non-tailed asses handed to us if it even does. Sorry, it's late and I tend to ramble like a psychopath when I have nothing better to do and see something interesting. Nice stamp!!

I'm Christian and I still think people are animals. I do believe God made us to be separate and different than animals, above them, if you will. We are at the top of the food chain, but does that make us not a part of it? Not at all. We're animals, at least on a biological standpoint, n and if we weren't then we would suck ass. Nobody can argue against that. They can argue that spiritually and emotionally we're not the same, and they would have a very good point, but biologically we are animals.

"They can argue that spiritually and emotionally we're not the same, and they would have a very good point, but biologically we are animals."

animals have emotions too even if they convey them differently than us , spiritually however I don't know and I doubt anyone could know. Anyway thanks for the support :3

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Stereofidelica In reply to G-manluver [2009-07-07 18:43:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I'm not saying animals don't have emotion, I'm just saying theirs might not be as advanced or as well understood as ours are. In that sense I completely agree that they have emotions, but I think theirs are more basic than ours are, more black-or-white; sad or happy, angry or calm, that kind of thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-manluver In reply to Stereofidelica [2009-07-07 19:04:25 +0000 UTC]

true, I must agree that most animals are way more simple than humans so their emotions probably range in more simple feelings (less confusing "I'm sad but happy somehow" kinda way humans get).

I am 50/50 when it comes to things like us I'm a Christain and I like to belive in something afterdeath. But I do keep an open mind and also accpeted the other argument for Evoultion and the Big , fan theory. I like to think there's life on other planets I mean after all if we the only creatures in the universe it would be pretty boring

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-manluver In reply to MightyMorphinPower4 [2009-06-23 17:40:15 +0000 UTC]

well I never said anything about this being the only planet with life. Hell, science supports it (there is almost no likelyhood that there is no other earth like planet where life exists. If anything, for many years most of the Christian faith denied any possibility of life on other planets).

I'm all for people believing in God and the afterlife so long as they don't use their faith as a means to deny scientific facts (like that animals adapt (ie: evolve) or that the planet is round and not the center of the universe).

There's one thing having faith in things we do not know, its a whole other ball game denying things we do know because some ancient text that was in all likelyhood never meant to be taken litterally says otherwise.

I say humans not being animals is a load of crap. Biologically, yes, people are animals. Intelligence and morality doesn't mean crap. Heck, it's not like much of humanity's behavior is unique, either. There are animals that kill just for fun, like dolphins. There are animals that start wars, like ants. And a crapload of other stuff.

Hey, at least people aren't plants or bacteria or something. Because that'd really suck.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

G-manluver In reply to NirvanaGenesis [2009-06-13 22:50:23 +0000 UTC]

xD indeed it would really suck. Actually on the war ant thing: humans are much like ants in a social structure kind of way. We have specific job and are generally ruled over by a single body that we decide upon (if I remember correctly, ants will sometimes killed their queen if they don't like her. I might be wrong there).

Humans are pretty much larger more intelligent mammalian versions of ants. Its kinda sad most people never see the resemblance O.o
