What have I said!?” Tiny looked up to see the Anger filled face of his mother Quince peering down at him. “If you want to go somewhere I’ll carry you there, you’ll open your stitches.” Tiny sighed at his mother’s scolding. Quince softened her mug at this and licked her kits head purring. “I’m just glad I found you when I did. If I hadn’t noticed you were gone till later you….” Quince trailed off staring at her sons deep stitching in his abdomen. Tiny mewled in response nuzzling her.

“I’m sorry mama. I just wanted to explore again. But I did it mama! I defended myself! I saw a forest cat and lived! Tiny said proudly “This isn’t a game Tiny! That brute almost killed you! You’re lucky I you got away! I never EVER want to hear of you in that forest again understand me!? Tiny crouched in fear and covered his head until he felt a nuzzle at his head.

“I’m sorry my kit, I didn’t mean to scare you it’s just I love so dearly I don’t want to lose you.” Tiny sat there dumbfounded. “And you know what happens to unwanted kittens? They get thrown in the river!” Ruby was wrong. He was wanted.
