I made the manes and tails using Blenders particle system. They consist of only a very few single particle hairs, but these hairs have a lot of children, so it's a lot easier to comb the hair in the right position in the particle edit mode.

I brought this up because I wanted to recommend the hair net addon to you. If you haven't already tried it.  I used it for making the mane and tail for my Starlight Glimmer, BonBon, and Octavia models. I think it's the best way to make most hair styles in blender. Just make sure to apply the scale, location, and rotation for the mesh objects.

For my training, I have made a room, with two chair and a desk.
I also made the solar system, and some other things (a soda can, and some other stuf like that).
I have some very important exams for now, but after, I'll try to do something else, I even don't know if I can make a pony now :/
